I see a lot of full figured, curvaceous, thick, voluptuous or slightly over weight ladies advertise as a BBW.  I  have never been fond of the term, but I consider myself on the smaller scale of BBW.  I advertise as a petite BBW 5'5 ~ 165 lbs.  Recently, I was told that I am not big enough to call myself a BBW and that I shouldn't label myself as a "Big Girl".  Huh???.... now I'm curious because I don't want to misrepresent myself.  Please tell me what category is BBW


 

You should category yourself as  voluptuous.  That's what I say

Bbw is plus size- 16 and up if you're tall, 12 or 14 and up if you're short. I'd use words like thick, voluptuous or full figured and always include hip, waist and bust measurements if I were you. Or even better, ask your clients what they think you are if not a big girl.
I have the same problem at 5'8" size 10 and never know whether to label myself curvy, average or something else. Several of my clients did a good job describing my appearance in detail in their reviews, so I stopped with the body type labels and just make sure my photos are always representative.

16 & up... OH NO... I'm a size 7/8 5'5, 165 lbs. 38D 30 waist 38 1/2 hips.  Voluptuous best describes me

I have a friend who wears a size 16 in jeans but it's ONLY because she has super wide hips and a "donk" (REALLY big round plump butt). Everything else on her is pretty slender, her stomach is flat as a board etc. She's not a bbw to me at all but to some guys she might be just because of her big hips and ass.
