So, I'm still pretty new here and I learned very quickly that this is  a much different city than Chicago and NYC which I am familiar with.  

I know most ladies here don't have incall, but I'm wondering if getting a hotel a couple of days a week is beneficial.  

What is the easiest place for most of you gentleman to get to?

A lot of us guys can not get a room for many different reasons.  It is a lot easier for us to go over to your incall.  

You will get so many different answers to what area is best to stay in.  I strong suggest you visit different areas of Los Angeles.  Get a room for a night or two in the LAX area,  West LA (Santa Monica, Culver City, Westwood, Marina Del Rey),  Mid Town ( West Hollywood, Beverly Hills) and SFV  ( Woodland Hills, Universal)    

It makes it easier for us guys to see someone in our neighborhood then having to plan to drive across town for a 1 hour session, which can very easily be 4 - 5 hours with traffic.   You can make this work in several different ways. You can ask the guy what area does he prefer to see you at or create an online poll and visit the areas with the most votes. or simply just visit certain areas.

They are the spots that are close to your clients.  So, it could be anywhere and that's what makes picking a spot a problem.  As you are learning, traffic is a nightmare in L.A. during rush hour and on weekends during normal business hours.  It really does take an hour to drive 10 miles or less.

Most of the ladies that I've seen all have incalls, whether they are living there or not.  I tend not to see anyone who works out of a hotel/motel, unless she is already trusted.  The only ladies I have seen, in recent years, at hotels have been porn stars who travel or who live in the L.A. area.  And, I had to drive "over the hill" to see them and leave the comfort of the westside.   I rarely make the effort to leave the westside to see anyone.

Well that is pretty convenient. Most of my clients so far are on the west side. I live in WeHo now so its not TOO bad. I definitely don't enjoy the valley.

I know some are weirded out by hotels but I'm considering trying it out a few times a week in different locations before I commit to a second place on the West Side. The only downside to my WeHo location is that I have a pretty active courtyard and I know that can make some uncomfortable

I don't know why you think that most LA based providers don't make incall available.Rarely have I had to do any outcalls with the local ladies here.

Well I have to agree with lopaw.  Not sure who you're referring to but most gals that I've seen either have their own incall or share one.  Generally, it's the visiting Providers who do the hotel thing.  And yes, as you have discovered, traffic in LA is an absolute nightmare.  I very rarely go over the "Hill" although there are some Providers I would love to see.  Unless there it's a necessity,  business or some other compelling reason, I stick to my geographic convenience.

Incall is almost a necessity for many hobbyists with SO's.  Can't "get a room" if the SO will wonder (I.e., interrogate) about a hotel charge on your card.  Thus, by not providing incall, you immediately reduce your potential market by some significant percentage.  On the other hand, decent rooms at nice hotels are not cheap, and many upscale hobbyists will not go to Motel 6 type joints.

As others have noted: traffic IS a nightmare in LA.  the 405 can REALLY take 4 or 5 hours when an accident occurs during peak rush hour.  Downtown Los Angeles have a lot of venues a gent can create an excuse for.  Baseball, Hockey, Basketball, convention, business meeting, lunch / dinner with co-workers to name a few.    

Know your target audience, whether they are stockbrokers, businessmen, white-collar, blue-collar, or no-collar.    

Parking may or may not be an issue too, some gents will not valet, some prefer free self-parking, some may prefer to park at a parking structure, and even some will even chance metered parking.   Easily accessible parking is a necessity.  Parking spaces can appear and disappear in a few seconds leaving the gent to circle to look for parking while time is ticking by
