A special thanks to BP for hosting another great event! The food and company were wonderful.
A personal thanks to all the ladies who came. I am happy to have had a chance to chat with everyone of them!

There was a wonderful turnout by the gents.. But then we were under penalty if we were a no show sice we were paying for the event.

But considering the list of ladies who RSVP'd who myself and every gent bought an expensive lunch that did not show I am truly disappointed. There were ladies who wanted to attend that were on a wait list that I was further deprived of meeting.

What am I to think of those who were a no show. Should it be considered the same as session? Well at least if she no shows on a session I would not have to pay the donation.

I am sorry for the sour note to an otherwise outstanding event and I would not have made the post if it was not for the wholesale disrespect shown by the 60+% of the ladies who no showed.

Some will think less of me for speaking out, Oh well delete the post, ban me, flame me I will mot be here to read the responses.

I know the effort , time and thought that goes into planning such a function and I consider it most rude and disrespectful to no show without notice or a justifiable reason.

I guess if the ladies were to pay for their lunch,  only serious ones would RSVP ( it is after all a networking opportunity for more business) but that would be ungentlemanly and penalizes the ladies who attend. A better  solution would be to make the ladies who no show to pay an amount equal to the one the guys paid for the missed event at the next event they attend.

Others  might forgive , forget and move on but for  me a promise is a debt and I would make sure I fulfill my part of the obligation which in this case , if I was a lady, it  would be to attend a great get together as an honored and respected guest of the guys.

Glad people enjoyed it , congratulations to BP and his unknown soldiers .

Have we forgotten the disappointing experiences of "...she's  not the girl in the photo" ?

The ad photos have gotten so over polished , photo shopped, and with  some  giving only partial glimpses,  that  they are nearly useless.  Reviews?  With guys only giving 9's and 10's,  they are not much better. These meets are a great idea and I always find one or two to make dates with.  Why do ladies reserve a spot and don't show?  I don't know, just a sign of  disrespect and anti-social behavior. But then, consider whom the  hobby attracts , guys and girls....

That's very disappointing for a 60% no show rate from the ladies.  Hopefully the organizer for the next event will not let the ladies who no-showed this time a free pass and put them on a wait list instead until all other ladies who want to go and actually show up preference.

I will still attend the events but will take mental notes of the no shows and probably not direct my business their way and give my business to those who actually attend the event.

Thanks to the event organizer and the gents and beautiful ladies who honored their commitment to show!

Airlines use very complex models for forcasting no-show for flights. That's why they always over book. BP selected a very central location that was fantastic. This was my first M&G. I will definetaly come to another luncheon. With the smaller number of ladies I was able to engage in more in-depth conversations than I had expected. I even have an appointment with one beautiful lady tomorrow.

My black cowboy hat is tipped to BP. Great to meet all of you bros that showed and the very beautiful ladies that appeared. Made my day!

For the guys that showed, I admire your balls to expose yourselves in public. I came somewhat incognito. There's too many public cameras today. But, this was a very special and private place.
The food was fantastic and the service superb.

I just added three ladies to my bucket list!

I let Beatpoet know last week that I was not going to be able to attend. I'm not sure if my name was removed from the final list, but I did inform him he could "book" my spot.

So sorry to hear about this poor turnout.

I go to many seminars, mixers, etc.  Some blow me away (yes, in that way) others I learn one or two things after spending all day or two, but those two things are worth it, now for today's mixer, I came an hour or so late, food, well, meh, Fogo is better, but Bobbi Boom Boom was a lot of fun and her friend Blair, well drop dead gorgeous.  Just the most mesmorizing blue eyes and seemed to be a smart and fun girl.  So for me, it was worth the $80.  And while no one wore a titty badge, I enjoyed chatting with a couple of the guys and comparing notes.  So again, it was worth it.  Thanks Beatpoet, I salute you and your efforts and will attend the next lunch!

We were not referring to Kate.  She was not on the final list of attendees as she had let everybody know the week prior she could not attend.

and nobody showed up!

I am sorry to here that the turnout was less than spectacular. I read with interest the various suggestions for restitution and pleasuring the suffering host.

How do you guarantee attendance to such an event?  It is a promotional tool for both sides of the hobby. As a hobbyist, I am always in search of that special someone, and i can see it from the provider point of view in terms of bookings.

I would be interested to hear from the ladies side if these smaller events actually generate any business. Are we just a bunch of window shoppers, enjoying a pleasant afternoon? or are we willing to make an arrangement with at least one or two of the ladies present?

If the ladies are finding that they are not getting several dates out of the experience, what motivation do they have to come?

My hat is off to BP and to anyone that puts an event like this together. They are putting themselves in potential financial harms way with the lack of serious cooperation by the main attraction for the afternoon. As has been stated, when you book a public place for a private function, you pay for the number of people that supposed to show up.

I personally would send a bill for the cost of lunch to everybody that no showed.  I wouldn't expect to get paid, but I would feel better about it.

There is no way to penalize somebody in this environment. "put them on the waiting list for the next one"....... right!  We will accept their supposedly valid rsvp and use them as bait to hopefully bring in more fish.  You have to have them. THey are the reason the gents show up at all, because, after all, I am not going there to see Bond, or LanForce.   Not my type.

I think the community needs to support these get togethers, but then again, I throw them also, so of course, i want people to come.

I have been very fortunate to have met many lovely ladies at these events, and hope to continue.

If somebody has a brainstorm on how to motivate people to go, I would love to hear it..

thanks again BP... had a great time.

I was at the vet's, putting a pet to sleep. :( I'm happy to take a pic of the bill for credibility/redemptive purposes. I am sorry to have been part of the no-show contingent (I e-mailed BP this morning, albeit too late, I assume), especially after recently posting my own thread about accountability and respect. I apologize both for missing an opportunity to flirt and mingle as well as appearing rude or uncaring; this was absolutely not the case.

Thanks to BP for continuing to host these terrific events- I look forward to the next one. :)

When attending these TER M&G we as providers who are driving up from another city are stuck with out of pocket expenses. (Gas, hotel, childcare, etc..)
If you guys feel we should pay, when we are already paying in 1 way, or another is bewildering to me because I will not be attending any M&G where my participation is not appreciated.  I drove to LA for a party NOT TER, and not 1 gentlemen offered to buy any ladies a cocktail, which blew my mind, so I am no longer apart of that site.  Yes, I understand you can pick up a date, but that is not my style.  I prefer to plan in advance, and chemistry is a must, so the M&G are a fantastic way for us to see if sparks could fly!

Thank you to all whom make this community my home.  Kate miss you lovely lady & muchas gracias for being a great asset to this wonderful site too!

Mas besitos xoxo

Big thanks to BP for the time and effort it took to set this up.  Really sorry to hear that you suffered a financial hit in the exercise.

In reading this thread and the one on the M&G board, I share some of the annoyance at the no-shows.  However, I also agree with txholdm.  This was the third event I've attended, and all have been valuable experiences.  Ads and reviews, while necessary in sparking initial interest, don't hold a candle to some face/conversation time in gleaning a lady's warmth, intelligence, humor, and innate HOTNESS.  Even with Wednesday's disappointing turn out, four of the five I was most interested in getting a first (or eager second) look at showed up, and didn't disappoint.

Continuing with my glass half full appraisal, those who rsvp'd and neither showed up nor communicated with BP, in other words the actual NCNSs, have been easily eliminated from my "interest list."  A valuable aid in MY screening process.

I sincerely hope that yesterday's experience doesn't deter our valued LA hosts from continuing their efforts in the future.

While I stand by my post, please everyone understand.  As hosts, we never expect all the ladies on the invite list to attend.  That isn't realistic and we understand that.  I usually try and get 60% to attend my parties.  And typically, thats what I get.  I think the last one I did, I had 65%.

My issue was that almost 75% of ladies on the invite list did not attend.  That in my opinion was not cool.  Never does anyone expect 100% attendance or even close to that.  Business, life, personal issues get in the way and thats understandable.

Anyway, for those ladies that did attend, thank u.  U were all very hot!!.

Yeah thanks to BP for the the effort, it is a lot of work to put together. It just goes to show you as in life who you can count on ( barring emergencies and true valid excuses) and the girls who did show in my opinion will get my preference and attention when booking.

The food was Top-Notch; the wait staff was exceptionally attentive; those who did attend
were engaging conversationalists (Providers & Hobbyists alike). As for charging Providers
(who No-Showed), I agree w/Madam Patricia.  As for the Hobbyists  & Providers who No-Showed,
they should be publicly(on TER Boards) called out.  See my posting under M & G Board.
One thing I might suggest:  is that those gents who No-Showed, should make an offer to BP.
Here is my suggestion :  Create a fund for a Battered Women's Shelter with the 17 x $80 missing
funds and the rest of us should try to match a single $80, with an $80 donation to  the fund.
In this way, the $80 is a tax deductible donation to a cause  that affects any number of women
within and without our "community"  As for Ladies who No-Showed, I gave
my 2 cents on the M & G Board.  I suggest all of us in the Los Angeles "community" read that
thread as well.  Be Well & Stand Tall my fellow TERistas.

I had a nice time but did feel bad for the guys.  While it is nice to be surrounded by so many handsome, nice men, I get where they would feel cheated.  Not enough of us ladies cared enough to show up.

I was able to make new friends, even a while fluffy 4 legged one... Again, thank you gents for being there and buying us a nice lunch.

A big thanks to BP for putting on a very tasty and interesting lunch. I did feel bad that the many fine gentleman who attended didn't have more women to meet. This was my and Blaire's first event and we were nervous not knowing what to expect, but all the very nice gentlemen we were able to meet quickly put us at ease. We thought since it was a lunch gathering that most of the guys would have to be getting back to work and had made plans to get a ride to take care of a car problem or else we would have stayed longer as we thoughly enjoyed meeting everyone.

First of all thanks to BeatPoet for the effort to plan the event.

I did show up about 50 minutes late and it took some effort on my part to make time during my day for the event. But since I RSVP'd - I did want to show up.

I had just left a business lunch, but did sample the great food. It was disappointing to see the turn out of the ladies, but like Blofinger said Bobbi BoomBoom and Blaire made it worth the attending the lunch. Plus I met other nice ladies once I changed tables.

Until next time....

I had a great time. It is an interesting club we are in.

The way it is laid out in these posts makes it seem like a sausage factory, but I thought there were plenty of girls there that I'd like to spend some time with.

Strangely enough, I have as much fun talking to the other dudes at these events. I've learned a lot about the hobby at these events and you can count me in on the next one.

Between Beat and Bond, we have the two best guys around running these things.

I stand at attention, tall and proud to salute all the girls who showed.

Yes BP - thank you for organizing the affair. Too bad there were not more women choosing to show up.
It is a CHOICE after all. We all did it, got there, enjoyed the food and company. Just wish the ladies who agreed to be there WERE THERE. You had no control over that.

BUT - did you phone each of them the day before to confirm their attendance? I don't think so. Otherwise, you would have let other ladies on the "wait list" into our function - to make our $80 more worth while.

Just a thought for next time, should you choose to do another lunch.
