What does a provider do when she changes her name and location and wants members to know about it?

She can do that all by herself by using the "contact us" or via problem reports. I am assuming that she is reviewed here.

As others have said if a provider wants to change her name, she contacts TER.  Generally her old name and her new name will be linked - that's the "name/new name/newer name" convention in the title of her profile.  There are reasons a provider needs to change her name confidentially - stalkers, threats of outing personal info to get a discount, LE - the whole gamut of bad behavior by idiots who don't appreciate the consequences.  In that case TER will not usually link the names and take steps to protect the providers (and our) privacy.

But you also seem to be asking how she lets members know - in addition to TER linking the names, I suppose she can post something on the local board or in her advertising efforts telling everyone her new name.  Just look out for the ones that say "Hi guys! I used to be Richard, now I'm Jeanette. Come see me!"  Unless you're into that sort of thing, of course.

Just curious why you ask - you're not a provider, so why do you care?  Not planning something nefarious are you?

I appreciate  your concern that I'm on the wrong side.
It's just that I'm friendly with this particular provider and she was working with a group of girls but now she's on her own at her own place. She decided to change her name along with the new ad and phone number. I was just trying to investigate the easiest way for her to tell the TER community about it. She did contact the TER support team and they told her what she should do but it requires   one step that involves her having access to her old phone  that wouldn't work because she no longer has that phone. I contacted TER for her again and they say that their  might be another way to go about it.

Usually if someone changes their name their old name is still on the account.
If not then she either has a safety issue or was arrested and needs to start fresh with new info.

I suggest using her old contact to reach her and if that doesn't work then try someone new.
If people don't stay in touch with existing clients and lovers that's on them.
