Reposted to avoid that controversial distraction. As advised by one OP, "Don't give him any more publicity."
Alias is a hot-button topic which often distracts people from the main discussion in a thread. I hope this thread will draw out all anger and disdain once and for all, so we can avoid unnecessary distractions in future threads. First of all, TER has listed rational, objective & neutral guidelines on 9 reasons. The only difference between an alias and handle is the list of review history. Presumably the critics need to see the guy’s or gal's review resume. There have been a few who have won people’s respect without any display of resume. CaptainRenault is our most famous one, followed by GhostWriteroftheDamned. There are many others with humorous names like, Shillbill, AndAnotherThing, Super_Awsome_Alias_x100, holytoledo, HelpaGurOut, MnJB, afteryoujoe, luvdesertlife, YachtMaster, etc. etc.
I notice that some guys always have fun in personal mud slinging. I once got good advice to just ignore those guys' posts, for peace to all. I thought we're in this hobby for fun!
I also learned from others on fun aliases. So after this post, I'll change to Kitty something.
