Ok, so I think I've got a Provider who has an emotional attachment to me.

Am I correct?  She get's upset when I can't see her.  She acts like she's just doin' her job, but then she loses all track of time, then she's mad at me.  "Hey you're the one who put your phone on vib."  I ran into her just on the street, and I asked "hey watcha doin' around here?", and she started lookin' left and right and changed the subject.  I have really enjoyed our times together but I was told that if you start to get close to break it off because it is the right thing to do.  I understand about being supportive. She's just gettin' all weird.  Outside of "providing a service" we can actually talk with each other.  Oh and she's never been able to get me to climax and I think she's starting to take that personally.  We've spent maybe 20 hours together since December.  Oh, and I'm single, no wife, no girlfriend, nada.

I'm just perplexed,

Not sure if you didn't get the point of the (very reasonable) question or you're just being obtuse. We understand you don't have a wife or a girlfriend. That explains why you hobby. But it doesn't explain why you continue to meet over and over again with a provider (perhaps as many as 20 times) who has never gotten you off? Why not try a different provider? Or maybe you should see a medical professional.

Either you are crazy or she is crazy. I have to admit some of your story doesn't make sense. You are with a provider that doesn't make you climax and your excuse for that is you aren't in a relationship?  Heck that why most go to a provider but it's not just to talk. Your quotes are all of. But if you're spending all this time with someone you have no connection with its time to break it off.

I'm not going to see her again.  I needed to let this pot simmer while I got a response from other Hobbyists who might have been in a similar situation WRT a Provider.  "we met at worK"

   I mean that's where the term hooker comes from right?

Was the entire 20 hours on the clock or was the bulk of the time free, outside time?  If you have been seeing her for 20 hours, on the clock, then she's just using you.  And "providing a service" but not getting you to climax is not really providing the service we all expect.  You've got to move on and hope she isn't some sort of stalker or something.  Just my two cents.

As this is an open forum, it would be inappropriate to name her, specifically, without her permission, and as I have been counseled by other Hobbyists to move on, I won't be contacting her to ask for that permission.

...and there's nothing wrong with that. You just have to make sure that you can stay grounded and respect the boundaries of the arrangement.  

 
This is an intimate business and it's silly to think that you won't develop some type of rapport with someone that you spend that amount of time with, on the clock or off. The trick is keeping all of that in perspective. Empathy or no, there are still boundaries in place that both parties need to respect. The provider can't be ringing the gentleman up at all hours of the day, and he can't be approaching her in public at random (unless there's already an agreement about this type of thing in place about how to handle chance run-ins).

 
And if he's happy with the arrangement, she's not ripping him off. Nobody should expect a provider to spend "off the clock" time with them. This is our job. You wouldn't go to work without getting paid, and you shouldn't ask any of us to do so either. Part of that job is providing companionship, and if you want someone to be arm candy during a dinner or evening out, then the lady should be compensated appropriately. If you don't want a pro companion then there are plenty of other options, but asking an escort to "escort" you for free is insulting.
