There is some serious grade inflation with certain girls, IMHO. One very highly rated LA independent asian was simply so "large" that I left. Gave her the money though since she had committed the time. Another was a very highly rated touring gal whose pics had to have been ten years old, plus she just reeked of perfume. Same thing. Didn't post reviews since I don't hobby often and didn't want to get blacklisted.
But thanks to those guys who, unlike me, have the guts to be honest in their reviews and ratings about appearance. I have found the back-channel checking with certain reviewers to be more effective than reviews

I see on reviews all the time that did not go well that 'I should have walked out but did not". How many of you have walked out? Any on a pretty well reviewed provider? I can say in my years, not once have I walked out. Once I thought I should but turned out to be my go to when I am in a particular part of town. I had one that I should have the other day (but did not). Went with an agency which I usually don't do. The place was such a pig pen I should have left. Service was good but left after one pop because I could not handle the mess. (It was worse than any dorm room). It would be interesting to hear prespectives on this. We all know how influential the little head is.

true, if you dont' use ter wisely (don't see a lady unless she has several reviews by established reviewers) then you have no one to blame but yourself.

I have walked out before TER, and also before the internet! I used to look through the L.A. Xpress and all I had to go on were words on a page and a voice on the phone. If I went to see a girl and I wasn't attracted to her, I would leave. I'd say I felt uncomfortable or sick and leave.
Once I met a girl in her car, I think (its fuzzy now) and I was supposed to follow her to her incall. Anyway, she was not attractive to me and she asked for $100 cancellation fee. I gave her $20 for gas.
Back then, you were always taking one for the team. I did, however, meet a few nice women who were attractive or even hot that I saw more than once. I also had very good luck meeting some super hot ladies from the LA Weekly who gave only happy ending massages or fbsm. Some were absolutely DDG.
I don't need that much mystery and suspense in my life if I am hobbying. Thank goodness for the internet and TER.

At MPs I've asked for a different girl --- as politely as possible --- and at MPs where there was only 1 girl, I've told them I changed my mind and asked for my money back -- never had a problem.
Hobbying in Asia, many times I've picked up a girl, taken her back to my hotel room and then changed my mind and sent her home before sex, often before we even started. In those cases I always give the girl some money so they're usually pretty happy -- they just get paid for doing nothing ---- what's not to like? ... e.g....
One time I brought the girl home, we walk in, still fully clothed, I reach for her to give her a little light kiss & hug and she pulls away from me with a look of horror, like "you don't expect me to KISS you, do you?!" It was just one instant -- I smiled, thanked her very much, handed her some money, opened the door, and politely sent her on her way....
Often times when the session was just beginning I got the feeling that the girl was pushy, had a script, had to have things her way, or was in a rush ---- she starts telling you where to lay down or where to put your hands or asking you to put on a condom before you've barely started touching --- you can see it's going to be a bad session.... "thank you very much, sweetheart, here's some money. You're free to go..."
Rates are so cheap in Asia (not Japan of course) that you can afford to do that.... the night is young... you just go back out into the city and find another girl who will make you happy -- and she'll be happy to have found a good customer. Win-win. Most of the girls in Asia are great, so when you run into a bad one, no need to be upset about it... just move on....
Here in the US, prices are so high it's not like that -- when you get bad service, it's a big deal. HDF150's review of "Princess" this week is painful --- $250 of hard earned money paid to have a girl make you feel like Sh*t --- HDF150, I feel you...
Fortunately TER to the rescue... you take the occasional chance on a TOFTT, but most of the time you have a very good idea of what to expect before you get there .... I've never been disappointed on seeing a TER girl and never thought about walking out -- only once was I disappointed by the performance (knock wood) -- many times the girl has blown my mind with performance that far exceeded expectations...

Each of the times I walked out, I left the full donation. Some will say I'm an idiot & that's ok w/ me. I have found that "hell hath no fury like a woman scorned" so, for me it was better to leave with no ill will.
I've turned and left, but no matter what the reason I ALWAYS leave the donation. Last thing I need is a woman or her man coming looking for me. Safety first.
I'm with you all the way. It's just not worth it. Now that I have found TER, I don't have to worry anymore...........(I hope!!!)

This was pre-TER and it was with a UTR girl I had seen many times before. When I showed up, she was clearly not ready, hadn't showered, no make up, looked like hell. I gave her the cash (full donation) and left. Haven't seen her again since. That's the only way to handle it, IMO.
And the good news is, I found much better options through TER! 
So far researching on TER has helped me avoid any bad surprises. Even when the ratings seemed inflated the reviews themselves gave me a pretty good idea of what I would experience.
Without TER I would not even know where to begin.
Yes, I have. I tend to lean toward ads with full face photos or minimally occulted face photos, or if they send me a face photo prior to the meeting. The ad MUST have good physical description, i.e. height and weight or measurements or a decent body photo too. If the girl is not the one in the photo, I have walked out.
I knocked on the apartment door and a big guy wearing a "Little House on the Prairie" cotton dress opens the door. He was a pre-op tranny and was was bigger than me- I'm 6', 225lbs. He almost broke my hand when he shook it- still hadn't got that feminine thing down yet.
Before TER, bad surprises weren't that uncommon in the hobby, and you just had to walk away and try again.
