I see you have a P411 account.  I wouldn't think it would happen there much.  I usually book at least a day in advance, sometimes a lot more in advance.  It might happen more to ladies on tour though.  If they are on P411 then they should have okays.  

Of course, if you are advertising on BP you will get all kinds of nonsense calls.  Cityvibe you can still get quite a few nonsense calls.  

But yes, I can assure you lots of ladies here check references.

serial killers.  Normal hobbyists in LA are more respectful and understand the need for screening.

..and every provider that I have seen, whether local or visiting, has checked references. I think you might have hit a weird patch of peeps.

Stick to your usual standards and make no compromises. Safety is paramount.

I have ad's in a few places and try to state by appointment only in each of them but I constantly get last minute or pushy people wanting to come by RIGHT NOW. For regulars that usually isn't a problem because they've been screened, but these people are so damn rude and refuse to cooperate with screening. Probably for the best though...

I recently had a mid price point gal that I was inquiring about ask for 3 references with all the expected info + my picture (even though her pictures were ghetto with her face blurred out) + my linkedin profile + my legal name + my employer + something else I can't remember.  

I feel provider references are very important and they keep everyone safe but that kind of excessive request would put a my privacy at extreme risk. It was beyond retarded.

I couldn't help myself and I laid an email scud onto her...

In the time it took to even read her due diligence request I was verified by one of the elite providers on this board (BPJ's proverbial "Brick House")...

Keep it reasonable and never make exceptions - That's what we all need...
