Well, it's an interesting call to say the least, so I thought I'll post here to let you guys know about it.
I used to visit Jessie Lee in Pasadena who works under Crystal from time to time. But when I tried to set up another appointment earlier this year, there's no answer. I figure they've closed shop and all so didn't really bother with it. So, fast forward to today, I got a call from the Pasadena Police Department and get to talk to a detetive from there. Turns out they had busted Crystal's whole operation, but Crystal went on the defensive and going to court on this. Now they're trying to get some confirmation on the information they have and they're calling up numbers on Crystal's contact list.
I must admit that at first when he said he's from the Pasadena PD, I was more then a little worried. But he assure me that it's not about me and they're just trying to confirm all the info they have so they can give it to the DA to present the case and avoid going to court and what not. Since he knew from all the info Crystal keeps that I've indeed paid for their service and what not, I see no reason to lie and answered couple of this questions. He told me my name and number would indeed be given to the DA in order to present the case and such.
The detetive mentioned that a lot of the others they contacted out right lie about it and deny on these thing. I can totally understand this. Personally I'm single and more or less live by myself, so if they really need to contact me, it's no big deal. But I can see the problem for some others who got the call for sure.
In any case, any fellow hobbist who has some insight on this, especially regarding the law, provide a little piece of mind or so if possible? Thank you.
Dealing with the cops and legal system is never as easy as the guy on the phone makes it sound. You could have been anybody- her plumber, her dog groomer etc., until you confirmed that you were a P4P client. Now you're going to find out that the nice friendly officer on the phone has an ulterior motive.
There are some guys on the Legal Board that can prepare you for the full range of possible outcomes for which you should be prepared. It apparently hasn't occurred to you, for example, that trials are public records and you would be a witness for the prosecution that admits he's paid prostitutes for sex.
Yeah, your future employers will be real interested in that tidbit. And the way records are searched these days, you should be prepared to live with that for a long time.
When given the chance to step in shit, consider walking around it instead.

What are you, retarded? A detectives job is to help secure a conviction. You've incriminated yourself, Jessie, and Crystal! Cops are ALLOWED to lie to get their statements. I suggest you lawyer up, buddy.
...the best advice is to STFU!!!
Not only are you helping the prosecution, but you have possibly incriminated yourself.
I had this dream about a guy who was a fucking idiot, who was called by a local PD and asked to confirm if he had used services run by a women who they had busted. Why is this wandering dude in my dream an idiot?
Well he confirmed he used such services when all they had was a name and phone number. Now what he did was give the local PD leverage against the woman who was mounting a defense because they can go to her and say so and so gave a statement and is willing to testify. Now did the wandering idiot give a statement? Yes. Is he willing to testify? Who knows? But that does not matter as the prosecution will lie. He had the right to decline answering any questions and if he did do something illegal, the right not to incriminate himself. Remember, pigs are allowed to lie to you when questioning you to some degree. It is not up to the pig calling you whether to prosecute or not. That is at the discretion of the DA. If the DA feels using prosecution against you to testify will get results, they will. The pig did his job and got you to incriminate yourself.
This is a perfect reason why you use a pay as you go phone. So what if they had a “name” and a pay as you go phone number, if you paid with cash for the phone and refill cards then you have nothing to worry about. They have the burden of proof.
Now do you ladies wander why some of us will not give you work info. Imagine instead of calling, the detective showed up at the office. Yeah…..real pretty situation.
It seems to me that you've just spoken to the good cop who "just wants to help you". Next if you go farther you'll end up with the bad cop who will put a lot of pressure on you to either incriminate yourself or others. My advise is to just admit to nothing. I'm sure a lawyer will tell you the same.
say nothing..
if you lie.. they can charge you with lying to a police officer or hindering an investigation.
just ask Martha Stewart

If they don't catch you in the act (doing the deed, paying on site), they have NO case! i was caught in a MP bust in 05 when i was done and walking out with the girl. they questioned me, even threatened to book me and tow my car. i scared shitless, but didn't budge, they let me go after 2 hours and nothing happened after. So when this kind of thing happens, keep your cool, say nothing, tell them you don't recall on all questions. it is not lying and will protect yourself and others.
Never talk to the police.
There's a bunch of videos on youtube where lawyers tell you why no good can come of this.
If you're a hammer, the world looks like a nail. When you become the subject of a cop's attention, they are out to nail you. Period.
I am a criminal attorney. If all they have it the notes of the booker and/or provider, that is not enough to do anything. They would be accomplices, and they need independent corroborating evidence to get past a motion to dismiss.
The booker may have your name, age, weight, amount paid, services rendered, and everything else, but they need corroboration. (See PC 1111.)
Don't say anything because that would be corrooboration.
Jesus on a F-ing Jumpy stick!
You don't just give people up.
She was providing you a service that should be legal, and you just toss her to the dogs. Crimeny for shame.
Just my opinion.
Well, I made the post on the Legal board as someone suggested. The detective did left me his name and number, would it be possible to call and revoke my statement or something?
And I can understand all those who have such strong feeling about what happened. Keeping my mouth shut should have been the action of choice here. But please keep in mind that I only enjoy the hobby occasionally and never really thought about the legal side of the matters. Let alone the police calling me about a provider I last visited over a year ago. I wasn't really thinking and just kinda answered. I am of course sorry for this and hopefully this would be a lesson to all others.
that even seasoned defense attornies make the mistake of talking to cops.
Go and sin no more, then call a good lawyer and do what he says.
PPD is going to exert every form of pressure they can to get you to implicate others.
I wonder what the next "booker" you call is going to say when you give her your TER handle as part of the screening process?
You have in essence confessed to a crime of solicitation of prostitution. Bad idea. You may not mind being talked to, but how will you feel if this goes to trial and you have to testify and your face is on the local news...? Bad play. RT Over & Out
what's the old saying about a person who represents themselves, they have a fool for a client.
An attorney who represents himself has a fool for a client and an idiot for an attorney! RT O&O
Just hang up. You don't have to say anything to them at all. Never say anything without the presence of an attorney. Just watch the professor duane video and you will be much better off. Cops are not your friend and most of the time not there to help you in any way shape or form.
never ever talk with LE before consulting with a lawyer & never ever volunteer information
hey word of advice cops arent your friends. keep your freaking mouth shut. all i have to say is this, "the only good cop is a dead cop"..... don't be naive, they are not out looking after your interests. do us fellow mongers all a favor and just stfu and not divulge any more info that may be incriminating not only to crystal, her girls, other mongers, and yourself.
great i went to that location too. I hope they dont call me
I loved that article in the Men's Health Journal, lol
Anyway, here's what you need to do with your lawyer to protect Ms. Lee..and now yourself. It's unclear from your post as to the extent of detail you gave PPD regarding your Play-4-Play adventure. So your story (to be confirmed by your lawyer) is going to now focus on how you paid Ms. Lee for her time and lovely companionship. Your lawyer will likely tell you that in order for you to get busted that you'd have to be caught in the act of paying for sex…that is, unless you sign a confession (you didn’t sign anything yet, right?) and that hearsay, someone’s notes, etc., are inadmissible. If you mentioned that SEX occurred to the PPD, you’ll need to clarify with them that what you were referring to was when you went home and jacked off after seeing Ms. Lee. If you made the mistake of telling PPD that you had sex with her, then you’ll likely have to recant your story into “Yeah…I get confused and fantasize about having sex with her every time I’m pounding one out”. You'll come off as retarded but after a little while of this, you’ll annoy the shit out them and they’ll likely leave you alone.
