you EVERYDAY 5 TIMES A DAY or more until you meet for your appointment?  I mean, seriously, we all do this on the side.  We all have day jobs.  Why do some men think I seriously have the time in the day to email them back and forth every damn 5 minutes?  If that's what it takes to get the appointment, I'll respectfully pass.  I have a freakin day job, just like the rest of you.  And I don't feel its appropriate for hobbyists to act this way.  How would you guys felt, if I emailed you every 5 mintues?  I mean, geez, I do have a life!

On a serious note. Those guys wouldn't feel bad if they are the ones emailing every 5 minutes. They are doing it for a reason and that reason is for you to email them back, so I don't think us guys would feel  too bad about a sexy lady giving us attention. Meh....

Since I don't email providers 5x a day, I don't know why someone would do it.  I can guess why.  Do you want to hear why they might, or were you just venting?  It was a great vent, by the way!  

I have no problem allowing someone to vent, in fact allowing the space to vent often is all it takes to diffuse an upsetting situation.

When you say "some" guys, can you give us an idea of how many "some" is?  A small percentage of the population are freaks, so I would assume your number might be below 1%.

For any number of complex reasons (often beyond simple discipline or conscious control ), many of these men have few meaningful social contacts and the chronic social isolation leads to a depth of loneliness that most of us will never know.  Before lashing out in anger, first consider the deep and endless emotional pain these human beings endure.

But first you are making a huge and incorrect assumption that your colleagues all do this part time. There are many ladies that do this full time and take widely varying approaches to marketing themselves…e-mail….twitter…txt…blogs. To answer your question regarding the male reasoning for this behavior; I have none other than to reiterate what has been said by Try_A_Little_Kindness regarding isolation and social awkwardness. I personally do not subscribe to this behavior. The human condition is a vast and IMHO can never be truly understood.

Now for the flip side to this….some of your colleagues’ dial/txt for dollars and that can get annoying. Some ladies will do this daily (multiple times in a 24 hr period), weekly and monthly; all in an effort to remind us where we should spend our dollars. Various tactics are used, such as “I am thinking about you”, the old standard “I miss you” and so many others. This was not the case in the hobby before txting was widely adopted or e-mail. So I can see why some guys have been conditioned and feel OK to do this with other providers, thinking it’s the norm. I see this more common with less than professional providers…..ala streetwalkers with laptops and cell phones than with the ladies I prefer on TER. In my experience, was very common on the site where people meet-social network.

do you reply to their first eMail in a timely manner...say within and no more than 24 hours?

If you do, you could attach a small note after your initial reply that you've got a straight gig and can't dedicate more time replying to numerous eMails once initial contact has been made.

If the guy doesn't honor your implied request then blow him off politely and block his eMail addy from your in box if possible.

I only e-mail more than once to confirm a meeting time/location and other details but I would never assume (nor have I) that this is an invitation to foster a friendly correspondence.

On the other hand, a I have a few providers listed on one of my chat accounts and we will occasionally cyber wave to each other (or even confirm/establish a rendezvous), but assuredly nothing more.

she's really thinking, "Gimme your money and get the fuck outta my life."    Despite all the protestations and insistent claims to the contrary, I believe a majority of providers actually resent most men and see us as nothing more than walking wallets.

To start off, I repeatedly told the guy every other email not to email me so much because I work during the day.  Given his first/last experience, the poor guy was baited/switched and the girl stole his money without giving him service.  So yes I feel bad for him, and its not like I don't give a lot of information or chat a bit to get know someone when I do email them back!  But unless I've actually seen a hobbyists I dont' consider this behavior acceptable.

And to the comment about how do I have time to post 2 poll questions in a 24 hour period?  Yeah it doesn't take that long to post them, duh!  And for the record, I counted the emails, and received 25 in 4 days.  That is ridiculous.  And every email was like a freakin novel.

I understand and yes I do know that a lot of girls do this full time, I was comparing myself to the hobbyists, being that I have a profession/career like the rest of you do.  Sorry if I offended anyone by any comments.

I do question if this the actual person or the agency posting. Keep in mind you run the risk of some people’s perspective on this as self promotion. I for one think more hobby focused topics are needed.
