Yesterday, I happened upon a site while sifting through TER called Thai Girls or something.  Unfortunately, I forget the exact the name.  I'm thinking Thai girls, right?  All the girls are listed as being Korean.  Perhaps the Koreans have the market cornered and I have no complaints.

i don't get it.  i know japan's prostitution industry is just as advanced or even better then in korea so i just don't understand why they have no presence in LA.  i mean the japanese population is pretty large in LA too so why no japanese prostitute agencies?

i have never heard or even seen any japanese agencies with japanese girls whether they be yakuza controlled or independent like the koreans.

what is up with that?

I knew some korean girls who rotated their work between japan and LA. We got a couple to visit phx when the economy got bad, but they didnt stay long.
I started playing about a decade ago and everything amps and incall seemed mostly korean. I thought they had a monopoly.  Now it seems that there are a lot of thai as well.

Once in a while you see someone advertising as an independant japanese, and i've seen a few amps that are chinese, but never anything to the extent of koreans, thai, and in the bay area filipinas.

No, the answer is closer to what someone said earlier in this thread -- foreign working girls tend to come from the emerging markets, and not as much from fully developed nations. Korea definitely falls into that category, along with Thailand, Vietnam and the Philippines. Japan does not.

China is an exception because, while the urban centers are supporting a very large developed economy, the vast majority of the countryside is dirt poor and looks much more like a typical emerging market nation, if not worse. As bad as it may sound, there needs to be some level of economic desperation to fuel this business.

When you compare the Korean and Chinese communities, the Japanese community is tiny.  Out of the entire Asian population in the state of California, they represent below 1%.  And also, Japanese Americans are more 2nd, 3rd, even 4th generation Japanese rather than new immigrants -- unlike the huge Korean and Chinese influx of new immigrants.  There aren't that many new Japanese immigrants compared to Korean and Chinese immigrants.  It's the new immigrants that are more involved in the businesses that work "in the shade" so to speak.

As far as their prostitution industry being "advanced", yes, it does exist. In Japan.  And in Japan, if you're not Japanese, you won't get into these establishments.  The Japanese are a lot more insular than the Korean and Chinese by far, it's just their culture.   IF there are Japanese agencies here in Los Angeles, I would imagine they only cater to Japanese clients.  I know for sure that there are Korean agencies that cater strictly to Korean clients.  And if you think the kgirls on CV are something, they don't compare to what the the Korean elite can get.

Or can you be a banana and get in?  I gotta figure speaking the language is key.  there are asians who can pass for chinese, japanese, and korean.

Yeah, if you're a banana you can get it, but you do have to speak fluently (at least close to fluently) and you have to be connected.  I have a friend who has an "interesting" past and he's told me a lot regarding the Korean scene, it's quiet enlightening and entertaining.  I would share but then I could lose a finger or an eye. ;-) Japanese scene is way too insular, if it even exists.  Once in a blue moon a real Japanese girl does show up working in the k-girl network.   They usually speak Korean as well though.  The last Japanese girl I saw was actually living near the town where I was born, which was pretty trippy.

There are japanese hostess clubs in downtown and in torrance.  I've been to a lot of them.  

I know the owners pretty well.  Some of the j girls working there are available for 1 on 1 meetings.  Only thing is the owners have to trust you, you can ask them which ones are available.    

If you go there and hang out it's VERY expensive.  It's not worth it in my opinion.  You can try dating them too but they are good at milking men.
