This may be more info than you are looking for but here goes.......

A close friend of mine....who is an Escort here in LA...and I saw it last week. I have mixed feelings about it. It was reasonably well acted and I enjoyed the first act and as someone familiar with the hobby I got the inside jokes....

I did not care for the second act because of the turn that the author took with the main character who is the escort.
The author portraid the character is a manner that was not present in act 1 and was inconsistant with the character....the author appeared to be making some broad based values judgements that I found unfair to escorts.....but this is just my opinion.

As I said it was well acted but I left feeling less than satisfied with the work probably because some of my closest friends as Escorts and in the end I did not care for the escort was depicted.

But to each his/her own....and the audiance appeared to like it based on the applause.

If you see it let me know what you thought of it.

Anybody seen it?  I wonder if I should bother.  Would I be forced to stand up in the middle of the audience and yell "This isn't how it works!"

As my former escort GF (who loved opera) always used to say, the plot is always the same- boy meets prostitute, boy falls in love with prostitute, boy fucks prostitute, prostitute gets fucked, and then she dies.

I guess writers always feel compelled to stick to the formula and take the easy way out.

I'd been hearing it on talk radio ads. (www.kfi640.com) The narrator (sexy voiced lady), music and sound effects made it sound provocative in a high roller way haha.

I was asked to consult on the script, and work with the actress.  I read the script and it was soooooo f-ing brutal.  So pathetic. Don't waste your money. Go for the real thing
