Budlight, a redbull, 2 condoms, and a box of rolos.

If it my first visit with someone new I prefer to have the lights on so that I can get to know her and her body without fumbling around inthe dark. Once I get to know her better and the opportunity for a little faux romance comes into play dimming the lights and setting out some candles are great especially if we are on an extended date and playing after dinner which is all part of the fantasy you are signing up for.

Being very visual, I prefer that there be ample lighting for my dates.  I really hate going into the bedroom & I can't see my hand in front of my face & have to wait 5 minutes for my eyes to get accustom to the dim light (I schedule most of my dates during the late morning or early afternoon).
In fact, I had a date with my ATF on Friday & asked her to turn up the lighting so I could see her cute face better.  She graciously complied.

Has anyone had the experience of a really dark room? I saw a provider in DC and she literally had the whole room blacked out. When I asked for the lights, she turned on one lamp. Kind of deflating in the sense of excitement and scary as well.

The room will be dim....multiple candles. Champagne will be chilling next to chocolets . Soft music in the background.
I like it when the lady goes to the same trouble. Really enhances to experience for me.

I hate it when I walk in and all the lights are on and the TV is going. Don't do that...lol

I am tired of having them used to hide age. Having a light on when you walk into the room until your eyes can at least adjust is nice.
