...and why doesn't anyone tell the girls or their booker that their noms de plume may not be so great.  Examples:

Sista  --  I don't think they know what a        'sista' is.  Ya feel me?

Nemo  --  Is she a fan of the captain in 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea or the animated clown fish?

Strawberry  --  a common term for a streetwalker who trades sex for drugs.

Paprika  --  What, were Parsley, Sage, Rosemary and Thyme already taken?

And sometimes their are reasons and sometines random..ie..hearing a name watching a movie..

For example: Sista and IU are named after female korean band and singer.

One girl told me the Booker named her after the booker's dog. This is a top tier girl too. I thought it was funny but it's a cute name even so.

I think the more experienced ones have a say in their names. Once, a k girl provider I had seen many times pulled out her laptop to show me her new photos and said she was trying to decide between 2 choices for a new name. She asked my opinion on which was best. I told her, but i saw a week or two later on CityVibe that she picked the other one.
