Screening, how far will you go?

How far will you go with screening information?

I messed up last year and will never make this mistake again.

I will NEVER send a selfie, picture of ID, and LinkedIn profile.   Luckily I did not send the selfie,  but I did send the other information and it costs me dearly.

I assume there are very legitimate girls out there that ask for this.

My question is, how far would you go with providing that information??

You kind of hit the nail on the head with legitimate girls. I don't see randoms. I vet them before I even contact them. Therefore, I am less worried about sharing information.

If you reverse Google search the phone number that your contacting it should lead you to all their other ads which tell you that they are legitimate. Also, if they have a website , you have a legitimate girl you just have to go with the people that are legitimate do your own homework just like the girls do I wouldn’t see somebody without an ID. Sorry this happened to you

Depends on how naive or how desperate you are.  My only form of screening is my TER id.  if its not good enough, then thank you and good bye.  And I never fault the ladies asking for more but I have my rules and policies just as much as the provider has hers.

I will not see a provider that does NOT require extensive screening, and I'm married with multiple businesses and I am fairly high profile.

When I see "light screening" in an ad, I move on.

I want only professionals with websites, histories, socials, etc.  I have given deposits to probably 100-120 providers over the years and never had an issue and have never been concerned.

from someone who is a TER member and claims that has seen at least 120 providers yet has not written a single review and has used TER for the past 2 or 3 years searching for someone who does edging

I said 100-120, and I said I do not leave reviews so I'm not sure why you took issue with my comment.

And yes, I love edging which you discovered by looking at my board posts.  Not sure how that's related to this topic of screening or how it might reduce credibility, as you suggest.

Back to the topic at hand, I have sent screening to that many providers and have never had an issue.

I think the people who are afraid of screening are angry because they see low end providers hoping to have a high end experience.  If you find someone with a solid web presence, website and a Twitter and paid ads, you are safe to send screening and a deposit.
