I'm relatively new to the hobby and these boards, and have gotten some conflicting advice on aliases.  I'd love to hear more of your story if you're willing to share it --it may help me figure out when I should use them.

people, including moi, get flamed all the time for using aliases.  yet when i tried to help out some fellow hobbyists regarding a less than reputable provider, guess what, it got right back to her and it did not go well for me (understatement of the millenium.)

so excuse my french my fellow hobbyists - but you're on your own - baisez tout le vous !  I will alias till the day I die or retire, and honestly I'm pretty gun-shy about even posting reviews at this point.  even on the RO board it leaks like a sieve and it gets back to you if you use your handle. PM is even worse.

so when the next hobbyist gets hosed because he saw someone that should have been banned from this site years ago - that'll be his prob!
