Would you consider using them for those that accept credit cards?  How traceable would they be once the transaction is completed?

I'm willing to bet the FBI could trace it but if you are talking about whether your mommy will figure it out, it's doubtful if you pay with cash.

For csi fans this is probably how they would do the episode on this. Figure out batch number of card that was used in the transaction. Find store where card was sold based on batch number. Look at store receipts for purchase of card in that amount. Find times cards were purchased and review in store camera footage. See suspect and track which car he uses. Go to parking lot footage and get license plate. Track down owner and go to their home. Tell on them to their wife.

2. Wear a modest disguise (dark glasses, hat, fake facial hair) or pay a stranger to buy it for you.
