Hey everyone!
This year will be my first time heading to Coachella and I’m super excited. I’m attending weekend one. I’m looking for tips on how to survive Coachella so if anyone has been, please offer some advice. So far I have heard:
-goggles
-bandana
-jacket for the evening

Omg NO! I am not a festival camping person. I am a procrastinator, however, so gonna book whatever hotel is left today.

Thank you for the bit on contacts. I am not sure how I’ll fare but I’m gonna try to keep a spare set in my Fanny pack if it gets dusty and I have to change them out.

Staying in Palm Springs is cheaper and they have shuttles to indio daily for coachela goers for an all inclusive price. Also be prepaired to have whats know as the Coachella cough for 2 weeks after from all the dust in the air.

Using the shuttle makes a lot of sense. I live nearby and traffic is horrible. If you don’t have a shuttle pass as part of your package I’d suggest trying to buy one. I think they’re about $50.

Hillary is right about the Coachella crud cough. That said, it’s not bad the first week. It gets worse week 2 and really bad for Stagecoach. I got it at Desert Trip a couple years ago and was sick for a month. Many people wear a bandanna over their mouth and nose to avoid breathing the dust.

Have fun. Looks like a good lineup.

Get a pair of high quality earplugs, not the cheap foam ones. They have ones designed for musicians and concerts. It's a lifesaver for your ears!

Agreed. A pair of these: https://www.amazon.com/Earasers-HEM001-Musicians-Plugs-Medium/dp/B00E2D9HAA are absolutely critical.

I have a set of custom molded "ear filters" that knock 15db off and are totally flat, but those were pretty expensive and you have to get your ears molded at an audiologist. If you're willing to drop some cash and can deal with the unpleasantly they are very, very nice.

I've linked to where I bought mine below, if you're interested.

The amazon ear-easers I linked to are like $40-ish

I did screw up the link however, because I left the http**S***. TER links only work if you remove the ***S***. I fixed it below.

$200 is for the custom molded fancy ones that I have. Probably overkill for most, but they're very comfy and if you go to a ton of shows it's worth it to have something nicer. I use my earasers for the casual bar show because you can't tell I'm wearing them. My fancy ones are very, very obvious.
