Saw a k girl from a very popular Booker yesterday.  She and i were chatting before I left and I mentioned one of my AFT s was an independent.  She immediately told me she was independent.  I told her that was surprised because I had to go through her Booker. She went on to say she was independent for about a year and need help with all the calls some good some bad some flaky. It all became too much. So the Booker just helps her organize things.  She told me she rents the pad herself and just pays the Booker for fielding calls.Has anyone heard of this before?

There are a number of k-girls that are indies and their bookers are just that, bookers.   I know of 4 or 5 personally that are indies.   It's usually the girls that have been around a long while.  I got contacted by a booker who was working for an outfit who is now booking another girl, so he was definitely replaced.

It helps to have a separate booker to manage schedules, since the gals are "engaged" and can't take calls.

yes not a surprise - someone I've seen is having challenges tracking all her email, texts, screening etc and she shared with me she's thinking of hiring someone to do all the groundwork for her - the drawbacks of success

some just say they are indy but they are not...somehow it appeals more to hobbyists

Most likely they  will go with a well established reputable  K-girl booker , some are phenomenal .
