So I was on a quick business trip last week and after some fun at a local club and a few glasses of wine I did the responsible thing and caught a cab back to my hotel.  Given my departure location the cab driver suggested a few places he knew that I could stop on the way back, various massage parlors in the area.  Being a bit buzzed and having had a bit of fun at the club but not quite as much as I would have liked I decided to try it.

Now, I'm totally new to this scene.  I've been lurking on these boards for a while and definitely curious to try it out.  A few weeks back on another business trip I was even going to take the plunge but then found out that "screening" takes more than the overnight trip I was on allowed for.  I had (and still don't really have) a good idea of what is supposed to happen, particularly at a massage parlor.  My minds eye had always seen it as starting out as a real massage and then likely a hand job as the "happy ending".  Based upon this maybe my understanding of that euphemism is incorrect.

So, what happened in this place is an attractive asian girl in a bikini took my to a small room with a couch and massage table and told me the rate (seemed quite a bit more than what I see in classifieds around here but certainly not out of reach and quite a bit less than I just spent at the club).  I paid, she asked if I wanted a "table shower" (I said sure) then she told me to undress and left the room.

When she came back she handed me a towel to wrap around myself and walked me across a hall to a shower room.  She laid me on a table and gave me a good washing head to toe then had me stand up and rinsed me clean (as I nearly fell on my ass a few times battling the wine in my system and the slippery soapy wet floor ).

All squeaky clean she led me back to the small room and told me to lay on the table.  thinking this was the start of the "massage" I laid on my stomach to which she immediately told me to "turn over silly".  flipping over I saw her quickly shed the skimpy swimsuit and she joined me on the table.  some kissing and rubbing quickly led to me receiving some oral and sliding a condom on with her mouth.  When I was fully charged and ready to go she slid up and was going to town cowgirl style.  That led to a few other positions, lots of fun, and winding up with me requesting to finish off in her mouth without the condom (all eagerly agreed to by her).

OK, too long, didn't read, I know.  Sum it up, I always thought massage parlors equalled a massage and a hand job, this was full on oral and sex, did I walk into the world's best massage parlor or is that the norm?  

also, all the places in classifieds around here seem to advertise "massage" at about $50 which seems literally scary cheap for that sort of experience.  Is there an "upsell" involved or is it a difference in service or are those places just dives to be avoided and I should just move to more traditional providers here?

What town were you in?  What did you tip?  This post sounds like a porn scene I saw on the web, in other words, a fantasy.  The CAB DRIVER suggested some places to go, drops you off at an AMP?

OK, I just read the massage board (yes, the entire board, it's that small ).  For everyone's edification, a few points:

1) it appears that massage parlors fall into three groups, licensed massage (i.e. therapy but don't expect the focus of this board), unlicensed (which likely results in a hand job), and FS (I take it means full service, what I stumbled into).
2) it also appears that FS is somewhat rare, possibly normally requiring repeat visits so my experience may be atypical.
3) I obviously don't understand industry pricing as I seem to have overpaid by a long shot.  But then again only the buyer can judge the value of a purchase and I'm a happy guy  no regrets.

Hope everyone learned something; I know I did!

PS are massage parlors reviewed on here or just individuals?  Thinking of adding my own review and possibly looking around LA to see what this scene is like.

I can tell you it's true and more widespread than you might think (EOM)

First, welcome to the board.  Talking about MPs bring back lots of fond memories.  During the 90's and early part of 2000,  there were plenty of AMPs with quality massage and FS.  Now they are only few left.  If you like to know more about AMP scene, please pm me.  BTW, you should pay around $50 for the room and $100 for FS and $40/$50 for HJ, there are exceptions of course.

For the $1,400 (clubs and MP) you could have had 3-4 very fine visitors to your hotel room a couple bottles of champagne and some wine.

While I don't frequent them as much as I used to, here's my personal AMP breakdown:
- LA Amps seem to consistently offer FS.  I'd say 8 out 10 that I have been to offer it.  I think the statement above that some are closing is accurate.  Went by my "local" joint the other day and it is out of business.
- Used to live in Dallas (I THINK that is where this happened to you), and the AMP scene there was similar.  Or maybe I just found the "good" ones!
- Las Vegas is a VERY different story -- overpriced HJ IF you can even get that!  I was able to get a AMP girl in LV to meet me at my room later, but that was pretty damn pricey!

Last time I went here in LA, I think it set me back about $175 total.  Not a great deal.  I'd rather spend another $75 and get much more GFE.

Having been to Thailand -- which pretty much killed my hobbying here -- I would KILL for a place that offered "soapy massages" like the ones you can get over there.

yeah, including tip it was a bit north of $1700 but oh well, I had a good time and learned a lesson

Well it's obvious you're a complete noob (I'm using this term in the most lovingly manner) when you spend that kind of cash at an MP.  Who tips $300? Yikes.  There's a sucker born every minute.   You can get a hot k-girl for $250 all in.   You say you feel good about it.  That's crap.  If you bought a new car and even if you love it, but then discovered you paid 3x the amount that everyone else is paying, you're not gonna feel good about it.  So please. Get real.

There are guys on this board that have been mongering for decades here.  They know the lay of the land.  Take your own advice and read and research more, there are actually other websites that specialize in the whole AMP thing.  TER is not the place.  Use google.  "massage parlor reviews" might be helpful.

Go out and learn, young grasshopper-noob, and don't throw your money away.  Nothing incenses a monger more than hearing about some idiot overpaying for AMP services, it ruins the economy for all the other mongers. This is a no-no.  You throw off the precarious balance of the pay scales in that world.

P.S.  I don't think you were taking to an AMP.  You were taken to a brothel.  Cabbie got a fee.
