if you log in to Google they will keep track but guess what? you do NOT have to log in to use any of their services or apps..

I was fooling around with Google Map and discovered it kept all my address searches. I tried to delete them, but I was not able to do so. I am using Windows 7 and Chrome/Firefox. The addresses are listed under My Place within Google Map. If you have SO and do not have a separate and secured PC then you really don't want to use Google to search any address that may cause you trouble if discovered.

Exactly!  Don't log in for this search stuff.  Even better, in chrome, go incognito, or private in FF.  Each mode will keep your searches and cookies off your history.

I need to log in for my Google mail. When I forget to log off, the search will leave trials. One needs to be extra careful with "features" like these. I do have my own PC and PW, but I still don't like to trials. I'll try incognito or private mode.

that no one else has access to. Otherwise you are at risk. Keyboard loggers are very easy to install and no password can protect you from that. If you can afford to hobby, you can afford a cheap laptop.

For the UTR stuff, I use firefox with no links anywhere to be found (she'd have to go and look for it) but explorer is easily found.  That way nothing pops up unexpected.

You better make sure that you clear all your cookies and browsing history. I found out there are lots of stuffs that I don't want others to see.

I tested on my computer with an older browser and it didn't save anything. I don't have a google account so I wonder if that is the issue? I have an older browser though

Yes, logging into a Google account is a problem. The other problem is there are lots of evidences in any browser cookies and history.

Have you Try delete the  Cookies from your browser ?
and erase  the historic from you browser?
Or navigate in a private Browser?

Yes, I tried to delete cookies and history, but I am still unable to delete my searches in Google Map's My Place. I probably will have to use private browser. I hope it's not too much a hassle.

I'll start browsing in incognito or private mode.
