I'm not an attorney and I'm not offering or asking for legal advice. I'm throwing some questions out there and everyone can contribute their own ideas, tell me these are stupid questions or ignore the thread. I'm also in no way encouraging anyone to break the law. Here's some background:

Lately I've noticed a ton of online ads where the "provider" states in the ad that she will engage in specific acts. Again, I'm not a lawyer but the acts listed in these ads seem like they could meet the definition of "lewd act" ("an act that is committed with the intention of sexually arousing oneself or another person and which involves the touching of the genitals, buttocks, or female breast.") Some of the ads even say things like "I'm horny and down to fuck." Some offer BBFS, BBBJ, etc. Many such ads  also list prices.

Questions:
 - Are these ads just very explicit ads from providers who are taking an aggressive approach to advertising or do you think they are ads placed by LE in some kind of ongoing sting operation?  

- Does anyone else think that responding to these types of ads might constitute "agreeing to engage in a lewd act for compensation" and that driving to the location to meet the provider and entering the motel room (or trick pad, etc.) might constitute "an act of furtherance of prostitution", or maybe also

 - demonstrating intent to either solicit or engage in prostitution?

 - Another possibility is LE might not be involved, but the ads could still be scams, because I don't think reputable providers list specific acts in their ads. Either way, I've never answered an ad like this and I never will.

NOT asking anyone to say whether they've answered an ad like this or any other ad for that matter. I understand this is a theoretical discussion.  

Many providers will tell you not to ask about specifics on the phone (or in text messages) and this is for good reason. It's always been my understanding that it's a bad idea to agree to pay for certain services when you're talking to someone you don't know. Even an electrician says it's a hundred dollars for his companionship (i.e., showing up) and he'll provide a more specific quote once you both agree on what kind of work he's going to do for you.

I don't have a conclusive answer to all those questions but I think every answer probably is maybe.

Yes, most providers do not list explicit offerings. But some of the K-agencies here in LA openly offer BBFS.

No, I would not see any lady that advertised so explicitly (different answer 30 years ago?) but that doesn't mean they're all or mostly scams or LE. Some people just play by different rules.

Maybe this is a tactic LE uses, but they might also use suspiciously low rates for a woman who looks like a 10, or they may do little or no screening, or a dozen other tricks.
