Harvelle's.  Blues isn't really big in SM (or generally in LA) so there are very few places.

As far as sushi, depends on $$$.   High end is Sushi Roku on Ocean.  Low end, still very good sushi, is Noma on Wilshire.  Use Yelp for reviews.

If you like live music (jazz, reggae, rock, some blues) and dancing, check out Saint Rocke in Redondo Beach. Not quite SM, but not too far away. And- they have some basic rolls on the menu, as well as lots of other goodies.
