Have you noticed why they blur their faces after seeing them?

I have met a few & know why they choose to blur their faces, but they claim it is for personal privacy.  I used to blur my face, but only because at the time my identical twin was not in this amazing industry!

often times i will PM guys and ask if the blur is for privacy or bec she is a butter

i have been misled using this approach, its not foolproof

But she was beautiful. She only had to because of her family.

I think it would actually help my business.

Tho my family and friends KNOW what I do, I don't need someone from my mom's office or tennis group actually seeing that it is me.  I don't want my family to feel embarrassed if someone was to "stumble" upon my site and bring it to their attention.  Without showing my face, my own family doesn't even recognize that it is me.  I feel it keeps things private for THEM.

I've heard that cops will find out where a girl likes to work and put pressure on hotel staff to give them a call if she checks in. They use the foto of the ad to id the girl.

Blurring the face makes it harder for them to do that.

that providers who blur their faces are ugly or 'hiding something;' many of us *really do* have major privacy and safety concerns. I blur my face because I want a career in academia and while I can write theoretically about sex worker persecution until the cows come home, most grad programs and teaching positions are still NoT going to look favorably upon the actual practice. Moreover, short hair is recognizable enough as it is and I don't want to find myself in an awkward or dangerous position because someone recognizes my face.

To counterbalance my anonymity in pictures, I try to attend M&Gs so potential clients can still get an accurate preview. I'm often told that my pictures don't do me justice, and I rather enjoy the look of surprise/(relief?) on a gentleman's face when we first rendezvous together.

Most upscale ladies blur their faces because they tend to have a career outside of this.
Those who are models or in any other way visible to the public can also not risk associating themselves with a world that the majority of the American population frowns upon.
Women who have underage children risk a lot by exposing themselves as "providers" by posting face photos, as it only takes one call to DCFS to land their children in foster care, even if temporarily...
There are a million other reasons why discretion is important.

I personally blur my face for the following reasons:

-In my "real life" I have a well-paid job that I enjoy and intend to keep.
-My parents are still alive and I know they would not be proud of me for this.
-I would hate to have the staff recognize me while I check into a hotel or visit someone, as that can lead to a lot of trouble.
-I would not want to be one of those "cautionary tales" - we've all heard them - girl posts an ad, LE comes knocking after a "concerned neighbor" tips them off...
-I go to a lot of events with gentlemen and I know they rather not have me recognized as a paid companion but "just their date."

I have not found it to be a problem for me and all my reviews so far have mentioned that they were more than thrilled when I/they walked through the door. I think that until a lady has a review stating that she is a "butterface"... It's nothing to worry about. ;)

Well said and well written Nora.  I absolutely agree with you.  I would be highly embarrassed if I were recognized in public, hotel bar, event, etc.

Well, looking back, I've gone both ways.  I've seen girls who've blurred and those who didn't.  Of course, I'm more of a body man than a face man, truth be told, for me, it's the curve of the hips and small of the back.... But that being said... I think can certainly see the girl's privacy argument.

When I started in this hobby, the internet was in it's infancy, the 'hobby' was still in the closet, as it were, and privacy was paramount.  Girls didn't want to get recognized or arrested and guys took their chances with pictures in the back of a newsrack mag.

Now the business and climate has changed.  Some girls are out loud and proud, and have no worries of who see's the photos.  Other's, like the lovely Ms. Dahl, want to have a professional life after she's tired of this business.  We've all seen from how ex-porn stars are treated in the 'real' world, and that's a generally recognized 'acting' job, but escorting is even farther from an 'acceptable' background for any 'regular' job.

I have known girls in the past who worked as strippers on the side, but kept on their day jobs.  Some are very successful in their chosen professions, but all are very happy their past has not come to back to bite them.

I guess it comes down to privacy vs. fraud.  If a girl blurs her face for privacy, that's her business, but if she's blurring it hide the massive scar, single eye and brown nasty teeth, that's a problem for me.  And that's why I love TER and the 'are the photos accurate' line.

While I completely understand the many reasons why Ladies blur their faces, the face is super important to me. As opposed to the other Poster who said he was a body man, I'm a face guy and I love to kiss. So a blurred face is a challenge for me.

In some instances I have tried the PM route of previous Reviewers to get an idea - have never been led astray there. In other instances I've rolled the dice (Harlowe) and have been rewarded with a beautiful face.  And in a few instances I've been disappointed and have had a lackluster session as a result.

Blurring the face is like exchanging personal information - we all have to set our boundaries/limits and live by them - or occasionally take a leap of faith (leap of face?).

Now - if Harlowe Dahl and Madame P did a duo ... two of the best kissers around and you both like girls .... hmmmm.

On a side note - Harlowe you have a Doppleganger who is a checker at my grocery store. Every time I go in there I end up staring - waiting for a nod of acknowledgement that you've taken up a side job ringing up my vegetables and you recognize me. It never happens - but it would be a cliché start to a Penthouse letter to the Editor story ....

HA! I appreciate the compliments but I can assure you that I have not taken up a second job as a cashier (although I'd be VERY interested to see this person!). Does she like girls? :D I've always wondered whether narcissistic sex would feel like masturbation...

...as long as there is sufficient positive information (ie reviews).  I totally get why the ladies would want to do this (whether it be to protect their family life or protect them from L.E.), and have no qualms with it. Besides, with tools like TinEye, smart guys can figure out it it's legit or not :)

Besides I have high standards or just picky with my own taste.  I'll tell her I don't see your face, then if your not my type when I get there I'll leave if I don't loke you and I do.  She takes the risk  when she doesn't show what is necessary for me.  Same with bate and switch, leave.  You waste less time if it's outcall.

I have however faced some stunning butts!

Similarly; several recollected providers who once 'blurred' now advertise openly for the same "amazing" reasons.

who covers her face with a mask in her CV ad. I did not think twice about it as most K-dolls who blur or cover their faces have legitimate resins not related to concealing bad looks ....except it seemed in this case , xxxxxxx was the genuine "butter face" and truly a disappointment.

I went to see a girl who had a blurred face on her ad and when I walked in it was blurred like her ad. I thought I was in that episode of the Twilght Zone , but realized I had been drinking to FUCKING much and left hoping I wouldn`t hit something on the drive home. That was 9 years ago and a true story.

I have always done my utmost to maintain my privacy by not showing my face.  I would caution any lady from sharing her photos with anyone, as I have learned from experience that giving someone something that is important to you gives them the power to use that something against you.
Believe me, even attractive women have bad days, and if someone becomes unhappy with you, you give them ammunition to use against you to boost their own very shallow egos. (Only those with little to share would do such a thing, I am sure most would agree)
If someone chooses not to see me because they can't see my face, and if my face is the most important thing for them, then I am sure I would not be the best choice for them, not they for me.
As ridiculous as it would be to ask the gents to post their photos, would be equally so to assume that ladies do not have legitimate privacy issues in hiding their faces.
I have at times envied those ladies who have the ability to throw all caution to the wind and be completely open about our chosen proclivities.  Alas, my community would not be accepting., and my good work I am able to do there is much more important to me than missing an occassional, or even frequent, appointment.  Some things are just worth more than money to many of us.  Would that it could be otherwise. But not today.

Sure some ladies show their face but hide other things. Pics like that make me thing "Great, your face isn't horrible but where are the pics with a tummy shot?"
