Unexpected trip to LA in a few minutes.  Meeting a retired very, very good friend.  Looking for recomendations for a nice restaurant near Dodger Stadium.  Quiet enough we can catch up on a couple years of what's happened.  She loves steak.

Frankie's on Melrose.  You can never go wrong there.  Great steak.  Incredible Lobster and Italian food, as well as great ambiance.  Perfect for catching up.  It would probably only be about 15 minutes away.  I have suggested this restaurant before on this board, and no one has ever been disappointed.

food aside, it's a very historic place.

There's a really funny scene in the movie Training Day shot there.

I once saw Mary Hart from Entertainment Tonight knock her chair over there. The chairs there are like living room furniture, they're heavy. When it fell over it sounded like a grenade going off.

I'm sure there are steak aficionados who prefer somewhere else, but you can get an honest drink and an honest piece of beef at PDC.
