Google keeps very complete profile info on everything you search for, I'm not sure I want provider advert pics associated with my profile.

I just learned something new about Google today, and a quick search of the board indicates that it hasn't been mentioned here, so I thought I'd share.  You can now use images to search for images on Google, similar to TinEye.  Apparently, this option became available only last month.  I checked out a few images on CV that I have for a while thought were suspect, but TinEye couldn't confirm, and, lo and behold, got some hits.  I've attached a link that explains how to use it.  (I hope that I'm posting the link correctly.)

Google searches for similar patterns, colors,poses,etc..the hits, as you called, are not for the pictures you are searching for most of the time but for similar ones(color, pose,or background). Tineye looks for a specific picture, Google is not.

You are wrong. The hits I was talking about were the same pictures, minus the CV watermarks and facial blurring.  You get a list of "Pages that include matching images" if it finds the same picture. You get results for that same picture PLUS the "similar" pictures and not just similar pictures.

There were two photos that had no tineye hits, but I did get google hits.
There were a few more where tineye worked and google didn't.

I think this is a good supplement to tineye, but definitely not a replacement.
