you're right bill, if i had to screw these guys at the m&g's i'd limit it to an hour and charge them up the ass!  lol!

to the op:  dude, stop trying to rationalize why you're paying so much to get laid.  it is what it is, it's the law of supply and demand:  whoever controls the supply can demand what they want.

i didn't even bother reading all of your original post.  some girls don't like multiple hours, some girls dont think giving a break is worth their time until the 4th or 5th hour scheduled, some girls are just plain bad at math, and some girls (most) definitely don't care what you think they should be charging.

if you're seeing a girl who works 12 hours a day and still complaining about her prices, use the search function to find cheaper rates.

or, just become a pimp and you can set the rates.

Now that I've hooked you all with that sexy title I have a question.

Because each appointment has some built in transaction costs it should be more efficient and therefore more efficient for most escorts to maximize the number of multiple hour engagements that they have.

By way of example using some made up numbers, let us say a provider works 12 hours a day, given that she has to schedule at least 1/2 hour in between appointments the greatest number of clients she can see on any given day is around 8 since each appointment actually occupies about 1 1/2 hours.  IF she charges $500 that is $4000 she can earn in one day.

If however she can obtain all 2 hour appointments, there is still only a 1/2 changeover time so she can see 5 clients in the 12 hours for a total of 10 hours of billable time.  So she could potentially make $5000 in one day.

In order to maximize this potential an economically rational actor would offer small discounts on the 2 hour rate to encourage multiple hour appointments while still retaining some of the economic bonus.  So instead of charging $500  X 2 hours = $1000 for each 2 hour session she might charge only $900.  She would still then earn $4500 per day, more than the $4000 she would earn if she only booked 1 hour appointments.

This economic principle appears to be borne out by the fact that the majority of providers that offer explicit multiple hour rates do offer discounts.

My question is to those who do not offer discounts.  I have seen adds for $350 for one hour, $800 for 2 hours and then back to $1000 for three hours and other strange combinations.

There could be any number of reasons for this but it is not "rational" from a purely economic (meaning the classical liberal economics) point of view.

Could anybody --particularly any providers that charge a premium for multiple hour appointments, rather than offering a discount-- comment and explain.  I am just curious and if you would prefer to reply via private mail/pm/message I will respect your privacy and not post up your answers.

that economics principles  do not apply to illegal activities. Pricing in illegal activities is often irrational due to non economic risks such as arrest, rape, robbery..

To the contrary,  economic principles still apply.  It is merely that there is an additional and sometimes previously unknown set of costs or externalities that influence behavior.  Behavior may appear "irrational" until one understands these costs and other externalities.

Which is why I am curious as to why some women have --what seems to me looking in from the outside-- inefficient pricing models.

don't even bother to try and figure out the way escorts think, especially when it comes to donation amounts. But here's a WFAG, they don't like multiple hour dates so they charge more. And if you've ever been to a M&G you could see why.

There was a thread on this on the DC board about 2-3 weeks ago.  It was not discussed at great length.  Some of us agreed with you--incentivized pricing should be used.

Here are some rates I've actually seen (60/90/120):

$300/$400/$500

$400/$500/$600

$500/$800/$1000

The first two encourage longer sessions.  The third discourages 90 minutes.  When I asked the highly rate provider, she said she wanted to encourage 2-hour sessions (over 90 minutes) and prefers round numbers (multiples of hundreds).

Are some providers bad at math?  Sure.  Are some non providers bad at math?  Yes again

Cool,  thanks.   Nice to know I'm not the only dorky person that sees odd pricing strategies and gets an intellectilual "earworm" about it and tries to satisfy his curiosity.

When it comes to ladies, I prefer human element over the monetary calculations. Keeps it more fun.

the assumption that girls are working 12hr days without a break. LOL. This isn't slave labor... unless you have a pimp, in which case it sucks to be you.

Most of the ladies I'm acquainted with will tour 5-6 days out of the month and take an average of 3-4 appointments a day. Ladies like myself who are available in a certain area on a regular basis are taking their appointments more spaced out (since we aren't available "for a limited time only", the immediate demand is much lower).

I'm personally one of the ladies who almost exclusively takes multi-hour engagements (almost all of my guests stay between 2-4hrs) and I see 2-3 clients a week on average. I certainly wouldn't take them back to back. Too exhausting for me, and it's not fair to my clients if I'm sitting there all dazed & tired because I've been working since 7am & they're the third 2hr engagement I've had that day.

I laugh at the term "hooker math" and come back at you with "hobbyist math". It really baffles me to see what some of you think we do with our time LOL. Not trying to be a jerk, but we all need to be a little more realistic.
