Alyssa, you look sexy and yummy...
I agree 100% with you on being courteous through the process, even if it doesn't reach conclusion. After all, we're about to share very intimate moments together... But it goes both ways. Sometimes, the provider never calls it off when verification misses. A simple email, "sorry honey, maybe next time" would go a long way.

Not all providers are like that. I take pride in making my verification process happen quickly and I answer other provider's email as fast as possible...and I'm nice about it. Its amazing how many people forget to just be nice in their emails with a simple "Hello" and "Thank you." That isn't just providers, that's everybody.
As I provider I have the same problem. I do not always get emails that I send out to other providers back in a timely manner. One time I got an email back 1 month later, without any explanation or apology for the tardiness. When that happens I communicate directly with the gent to keep him aware of what is going on and where we are in the process. I keep it light and positive.
I think when a provider asks for references (whitelist or not) the least we can do in return is make the process happen as quickly and painlessly as possible. We are all on the same team and its part of the package of being a professional to handle things quickly and efficiently, so that we can all have fun and be safe.
That being said, it is up to the gent to remain courteous and understanding throughout the process. If a gal needs more than a whitelist recommendation for her to feel comfortable and safe, then I think she should be entitled to it without any hesitation or attitude on the gent's part. *Note: I am not saying to you "txholdm" that you have either of these things, I'm making a generalization for everyone.
I will say this, though. We can tell when the gents have a little chip on their shoulder or impatience with the process of being verified. Believe me, much can be read and understood from a simple email guys, so be nice, keep it light, and be helpful in any way you can!
