Hi. I don't know how far you are willing to drive around L.A., but hopefully, you are because I'm sure you've heard everything is very spread out over here.
I am not sure if you're into restaurants with a scene (I am not a fan) or just really good restaurants. And, I don't know what your interests are, so I'll just throw some stuff I like or heard is good out to you.
If you like steak, I'm told that Cut is THE place to go and is in BH. Wolfgang Puck owns it. His celebrated Spago (second location) is in the area, too.
In Venice, you shouldn't miss out on Gjelina. Also, in the area is Piccolo that is highly rated.
The restaurant that put California Cuisine on the map is Michael's in Santa Monica and still going strong. Lots of original art is on display by heavyweight artists.
In West Hollywood, I recommend Gordon Ramsay at The London.
If you like art, check out LACMA on Wilshire.
L.A.'s downtown is definitely worth checking out for it's history and architecture. Lots of new cool things happening there. Grammy Museum, L.A. Live complex with dining and music venues.
If you have any specific questions, PM me and I'll do my best to help you.
Hi! I'm coming into LA this coming week and well, because I don't live here I would love for anyone to give me a head's up to what I should do in gorgeous Miss Los Angeles? I'm staying in BH and I will have a car but I don't know the best, cool restaurants and or attractions that are hip and happening. Any suggestions would be awesome as I love to adventure and get my feet wet! Thanks in advance and have a fabulous day everyone! kisses, Chloe

Ok, since I just asked you on a date in another form of communication, I thought it appropriate to respond here.
Since you sign your site with Namaste, I assume you are into Yoga. That being said one of the finest centers for Kundalini Yoga in the country is Golden Bridge in West Hollywood. Kundalini is the yoga of the energetic system and the basis for white tantra. I strongly recommend.
The last post listed some great places to eat. I would also suggest some real beach places. Geoffrey's for a nice meal outside with great wine and amazing feeling of the sea. Malibu Seafood, the absolute best Fish place in Malibu. It is literally a shack so it's bikinis, shorts and tea shirts, but man that place is great. Duke's is in-between the two, great sunday brunch, awesome fish and great view of the water.
Lacma is currently having a show of Tim Burton. Go to a movie at Arclight cinemas.
You must go to the Getty Museum just for the Museum. It is remarkable and the building outshines it's collection.
Finally try to get tickets to the Hollywood bowl or the Greek theater for a truly unique LA experience.
If you did all those things, ate at the restaurants that the previous poster left, met great people, played a lot and spent a little time with me, you would indeed have a trip you will not soon forget.
O2 out

Go a little exotic with food and try Ethiopian food at Nyala in Little Ethiopia. There are plenty of great Persian restaurants in L.A., especially on the Westside. If you are around downtown try Bottega Louie, or First and Hope which is right across from the Walt Disney Concert Hall where you can catch Dudamel rockin' the L.A. Phil. MOCA (Museum of Contemporary Art) isn't too far away from the Disney Concert Hall. If you feel more hipsterish check out music over at the El Rey or Echoplex, or try microbrewery beer at Mohawk Bend. If you are in Silverlake go get some lunch at Forage. They have fresh, delicious food.
Go up to Malibu, if you feel like getting away from the mobs of people in L.A. and just relaxing on the beach.
L.A. Weekly is a great resource. If you have more questions, gimme a shout.
