This kind of thing cracks me up!  Here's a news flash: This site is devoted to dessiminating information about people who have sex for living!  That makes it possible that some people are going talk about sex and quite openly.  My favorite thing about Nikita is that she is the most straightforward, honest person I've ever met, in or out of the adult entertainment industry.  She makes no bones about who she is, what she does or the fact that she thoroughly enjoys doing it!  

Couple of other things to note:  This is a grudge that's been held for awhile since the "ass in the air" post was months ago!  It's also interesting that the late and revered Fast Eddie put up an immediate response to that post saying "That may be the best "subject" line ever posted on TER!"  So it's possible there's a segment of the community that's fine with the graphic posts.

They would also appear to work.  Look at the number of reads on the pornstar board and compare Nikita's most recent post with others posted by other girls in the same time frame.  Her numbers are significantly higher.  Isn't that what these posts are about, reaching out to the prospective client?  

Finally, as someone else noted, different strokes for different folks!  The difference is that Nikita doesn't give a rat's ass about what someone else does or how they do it!

I don't see why things have to be slow, or what the problem is in what we post. I am just a unique ASP that likes to have a good time.. I was not trying to offend anyone. I am a very classy, safe, highly reviewed ASP. I totally understand where you are coming from Brennan. But, it does not mean that I don't screen or take time to do my homework. No one gets to see me unless they are fully screened and understand how to follow directions. I invest a lot of time and money into everything I do. It's only advertising and all in fun in that aspect. I didn't know this was such an issue for everyone. I apologize for the inconvenience this has caused...

really more relating to the other aspect of advertising- the message.  You are not the target market, so the message offends you, presumably because you're concerned about the shared that image providers project to the world- and that is understandable.  But the target market of men probably didn't see it that way.

This type of ad is a double-edged sword since it will strongly attract one market (perhaps a new one), and maybe alienate another.  The only question is did she hit the target at which she was aiming and will she be happy with the resultant clients?  Only time will tell.

One thing's for sure, she's speaking to men in their language.  And while it may be a little blunt for some tastes, it's actually a refreshing change from the sameness of 98% of the other ads which all say the same thing, which in effect means they say nothing.

As an aside, a few months back I posted something on the Gen. Discussion board suggesting that women look a little deeper at themselves to determine what makes them unique.  Marketing calls it the "unique selling proposition."  I made the case that they all were saying the same thing which means they didn't really understand themselves or what they were offering their clients.  And as a result, they weren't differentiating themselves beyond the obvious physical attributes.

Needless to say, I was totally abused and called all sorts of names by the resident morons on that board.  But it does show that men and women see this issue differently.  I think most guys reading the original post just saw it as someone having a little fun and not much more than that.  

Plus, it's always nice to know someone enjoys their work if you're planning on seeing them.  A lot of nasty things get said about clients by providers, and nobody wants to feel like they're forcing themselves upon someone.  There are 3 billion women in the civilian world that are more than willing to constantly remind us how disgusting and imperfect we are.  In fact, they're the reason you have a job.  This lady, on the other hand, made it clear that she isn't one of them, and I'd see her on that basis alone.

I mean, you read those reviews over there, they're all paying the rack rate and you'd never guess they had more than a cocktail together.

I mean, the one word you'll never see over there is the word "special", that's for sure .
