they think that they do not get in trouble if they do not post them but the law could care less. + I suspect that such providers charge differently based on the caller..I pass those providers
I personally prefer posted donations. In fact, I am not sure that I ever contacted a provider that didn't post their rates. Seem like just one more thing to do. Unfortunately, what TER posts is not always accurate. What do you think? As a follow-up, why don't these providers post them?

They're probably either worried about some kind of "intent" shown, or perhaps they just assume that you're reading the reviews and already know. I HATE to ask, but when I must, I say, "what is the donation for an hour of (her/your) time?". Of course I'm probably kidding myself thinking this makes any difference but it makes me feel better.
I post mine in my ad. I am suspicious of those ladies who don't want to post their rates. I think they might be quoting different rates for different people (or on different sites), or maybe they are advertising specials but don't want to post the special rate because it's not actually special lol or it's the same rate they always have. Another reason I could possibly think why ladies wouldn't post their rate is because they don't want the other ladies (or old regulars who are paying more) seeing how low they are willing to go.

I personally see your points that can be made valid in many cases however I regularly do not post my rates ON PURPOSE for several reasons....
1. Safety 2. Encourage a conversation and or dialog to take place..... Builds rapport and can break the ice 3. I certainly feel that this side of the fence represents a sort or specialty luxury.... Not a need nor necessary of life. So if you want to have an environment, mutual decorum, and air of specialty why slap yourself with a sticker price or pop yourself on "special" when you or a client would not like to be treated like a transaction and or a disposable commodity?!
Really you could spend five to even five thousand dollars...... It's what you place value you in for the irreplaceable time you do not get back. This goes both ways. The whole price issue I find often thwarts an opportunity to connect.
I rarely ever call a provider or even talk to them before the meeting. It is only at their request if I do. I have yet to have a $ communication issue or really any problems other than parking, They post and I either pay or don't contact them. I don't want to have to ask so I just pass.
