would have been even more appreciated if you did not include your link. I wish more ladies participate and contribute to the discussion and civil discourse on this board but without giving the impression that it is nothing more than a self promotion ploy.

So don't be surprised if this thread gets deleted.  The rule is in place so the situation Harpman60 describes doesn't happen.

But it is OK to post your link when you reply to a thread someone else started.

Several times, I've read a thoughtful, interesting post from a provider and then had to go do research to figure out where to find more about her --because there was no link. I have a slow internet connection at times (thanks to TOR running on an old netbook connecting via 3G) so that kind of runaround can get annoying. Including a link as a footnote doesn't bother me, and in fact is appreciated in many cases.

I do agree that we don't want to encourage self-promoting posts empty of content, but I suggest we cross that bridge when we come to it.

Just read G2's post on the rule. That makes sense, seems like a good way to handle it.

if she starts a post or answers one, she is allowed to post her link. Notice I said link, not photo.

Because I thought G2 was right. I was under the impression that they could add a link to any reply post, and are required to add a link in an add post, but I thougth they couldn't put a link in a post that was a thread starter. I thought I read that before, but can not find it. In fact this is what I found now:

"By participating in the discussions on TER discussion boards, you can greatly increase your visibility and give potential clients the opportunity to get to know you better. You may include your link in messages you contribute to any TER discussion board, that does not count toward your ad limit. In fact, you are encouraged to include your link, because it helps everyone get to know you better. Putting photo's into non ad related replies to threads is not allowed, unless the thread you are replying to is about posting photo's of yourself and other provider's. Just please make those linked messages meaningful, entertaining, or helpful contributions."

So, Apollo, you are obviously right. Harpman and G2 are wrong. But am I dreaming that it used to be a rule?

from posting their links on threads. I do back a few years too. However, it is possible that it was a rule in years past, just not as long as I can remember.

But waht happened to her other thread? Did the remove the thread? Wonder what reason?

When a reviewer or a provider post using their regular TER handle their reviews , if they have any canbr accessed. I do not  
not have any problem with post containing a link ,unless it becomes apparent the post is a blatant self promotion ploy and an abuse of a privilege .

This provider , without a single ,review have blanket posting across the board . I seems the the moderators have noticed and. despite what Appolo stated, taken appropriate actions.    

website in every post. If I'm interested in a providers post i will click on her reviews to see here profile and website. If she is linking her website in every post it means she is trying too hard and is posting just for advertising. Dolores doesn't have any reviews yet but she wasn't that hard to find. Thats the bottom line.
