Reallly sad, and scary.
I think this problem wouldn't exist if it were legal because the girls wouldn't have to rely on a pimp..all the places it is legal there aren't these kinds of problems. In my opinion, it is the censoring that causes the corruption.
On the other hand ....the trafficking, street walking and entrapment of course should be illegal. I just don't feel that this is any different then charging for a hair cut, or a dance lesson etc. Why is porn legal, and why are strip clubs legal? Sure there are different degrees, of what people do..but a great number of us have other talents and careers. And it is our bodies, if we can strip or dance exotically then we should be able to give companionship to any degree we wish. I can't speak for everyone, but I am here because I get something out of the attention, and the feeling of helping others. It gives me confidence that I wouldn't normally have.
Also, I think if it were legalized, it would be regulated and safety in all respects would be just like porn is. What's the difference?

I just meant that I think it would alleviate some of the bad stuff that happens to runaways and the girls being affected by these gangs/pimps etc. And, mostly I was just trying to show that there's really no difference between other types of businesses and this one (unless referring to trafficking, kidnapping etc.)
Anyway, this is my first time participating in a discussion like this..guess it was just something I feel strongly about. I totally get what you're saying though...wasn't thinking about that..lol

How can it be that for a country as wealthy and successful as the U.S. is, we seem to have it all so wrong?
That's as political as I'll get on these boards, no need to add to everyone's already high stress levels, mine especially.
