What is up with some of these reviews. I will keep this nameless to protect the non-innocent, but why is the appearance ratings so inflated? I know moderators do a great job on toning down the service levels, trust me I got checked myself because I had to downgrade a girl's great service from a 10 to 9. But I think there needs to be moderation on looks.
I wrote a review on a girl, she straight out had bug eyes and was an asian hunchback. My review was not positive but very generous to that.... Then I see other reviews as I always like to see who are the bogus review(er)s, and I see reviews on the same girl as perfect, easy on the eyes. Well, she wasnt.
I am not saying my standards are too high, my sample size is large enough to grade the average girl fairly, she was way below average as a few other reviewers mentioned, yet in others she got 9's.... really?
I use to think YMMV, but I am starting to think some of these reviews are ROBs from their bookers. What do you guys think?
I just saw a provider that had 7's and 8's in appearance. I was somewhat surprised when I got there. Quite honestly, I would have rated her a 4 (O.K. if your drunk). Her service was great but I just couldn't get passed her looks. I guess we all have varying standards. I'll be sticking with my regulars for a while.
that some men love bug-eyed, hunchback girls possibly.
Your perception of beauty is obviously quantified by your vast experience with beautiful women. Some men, due to financial reasons, etc., probably see women who are less than what you generally appreciate. If that is so then they're experience is going to be vastly different than your experience.
I can appreciate that.
I also think that TER has a different measuring system than the real world due to this almost being a fantasy world. When you bring sex into the mix, then all components are elevated, in my opinion. So, that 4 girl in the real world coupled with possibly better than average sex in this fantasy world tends to push the numbers higher. At least that's my reasoning.
I've been rated a 7 which, according to my reviews and the real world, is obscene, but it was his experience and it obviously didn't meet up to his expectations. That's okay. Now a 5? We'd have to fight.
Of course it could be the numbers are being manipulated by sources who have a vested interest in keeping those numbers high. Anything is possible on TER, don't you know?
This was a topic at the last meet and greet. A couple folks actually advocated removing the "score" for looks and just leaving it at descriptive attributes but "photos real"/"photos accurate." I can agree with that approach, just think about how widely people's tastes vary. Some guys like BBW, some guys like "mature" women; although I've seen attractive women in both groups 99% of the time neither will do it for me. But then for someone looking for a BBW that rather large woman very well could be his "10".
With such a subjective attribute I find it better to select other aspects of appearance and then set a very wide gateway on looks (I generally use 6 and up), from there I can check out accurate photos in ads and websites to determine if she's my type or not.
All that said, it would be nice if more of the attributes had the ability to use a range or multiple values. Most attributes (like build and breast appearance) should be able to take a range of values. Some (like hair color) should be multi-select. I think more control over those aspects of a search (again with accurate photos) would be much more valuable than individual estimates of overall beauty. Provide a way to narrow the field then let each judge with his own eyes.
Imagine this experiment, start a thread and each of you gents post a photo of your idea of a 10. You are going to see a slew of beautiful women, but they are going to vary greatly. Short/tall, curvy/downright boney, blonde/brunette/bald, shaved/natural/landingstrip, tattoo sleeves/untouched skin, big lips/little lips... the list goes on.
As far as the numbers being inflated... realize this is a contained environment. Megan Fox doesn't work here... and if she does, her rates are going to equal your mortgage payment. So what's your price range? A $100/hr 10 may be very different from a $1500/hr 10. Not to say there aren't some stunning ladies in the lower price ranges, but I'll wager they aren't getting 6s. If you pay premium dollar for company, you probably come in with higher expectations and even if she's a 9.95... you might feel disappointed. Price point affects your expectation and that often gets reflected in the rating.
It's been said a thousand times... looks ratings are subjective. As was previously mentioned, the experience itself can affect one's perception of beauty. Perhaps there was a moment in the heat of things when the light fell across her face the right way and she had just the right look in her eye... suddenly a 6 turned into a 9 for that gent.
I'm sure there is some amount of planted reviews that make it onto the profiles. There's also the contingent that post fake reviews to get free TER VIP (really guys... you can't affor $20?!) those tightwads always rate high in hopes the girl won't petition for it's removal. But if the lady in question has a reasonable amount of reviews, odds are you can take the overall average of the looks rating and it will be a fairly good indication of what you're going to see when you open the door.
There isn't a rating system out there that isn't skewed in some form or fashion. I think you expect too much from a volunteer database.
the other review's behavior? Or, change your approach?
Two factors to consider! First, the numbers! How many reviews does she have, and are her numbers relatively consistent? If I see that a lady has at least a couple of pages of 8's and 9's, it's a very good chance that's what I'm going to get. Second, refer to the reviews of the guys who have seen the girls you've seen, and their ratings are close to yours. Works for me, but then I can see if someone wants to party at the last minute, and picks a lady that catches his eye, who has only several reviews, how easily it could be to get burned.
I see a kind of grade inflation influenced by guys' sense of value. If I pay 250, I may come in with low expectation and thus easily satisfied. Now those who pay 1000 (way above my pay grade), may also tend to rate high because they may lean toward self-congradulatory. That is, they convince themselves that they are no suckers. It seems that donation levels in between are more likely subject to more harsh grading. Just my 2c.
Well what if you WERE drunk and she was indeed OK? Does that by default up her rating from a 4 to a 6 or 7? Or should the rating be changed to "Not OK if You're Sober"? Perhaps that might explain some of the inflation? What if the client is in an altered mental state other than drunkenness?
I've always interpreted that rating with the assumption that the client was totally sober at the time and considered her acceptable if he had pounded some whiskey or spent the night at a bar beforehand.
