So, here we go. It was bound to happen.
For those of us that screen rigorously, we have nothing to worry about. And for you boys that get a little P.O'd when we do screen thoroughly, you will now understand why we do it...
I have a friend, new to the business who just got busted off her ad on CityVibe. They called her, and told her he wanted to go to a hotel in Hollywood for drinks and then back to the room. She accepted. Unfortunately she did not ask questions. She is new, and maybe a little niave and maybe doing this for the wrong reasons. Not because she loves it, but out of desperation.
Most of the girls on this site and CityVibe do it because we love it, in fact the joke is we feel guilty because we don't feel guilty...
Long story (somewhat) short, this cat came to pick her up in a tan, brand new truck. Young guy, who said "you look exactly like your pictures" when she got in. Cut to 1 minute latter, he said "oh shit, it's the cops". He drove off on a side street, pulled over and ran from the truck. Female officers came to her door and pulled her out an told her she was under arrest. They told her that they had been following this guy for months. Which obviously was a lie, but she believed them. They had her CityVibe pic and told her he had it in his pocket when they "caught him" after he ran. The man was clearly undercover.
This young girl is now being charged because of the whole incident. Which makes me realize how lucky I am that this type of thing didn't happen to me when I first started out a year ago. As I didn't screen either, until I wised up, thanks to one of the best providers on this board who shall remain nameless, but you know who you are. 
The moral of the story is: Girls: Screen! If they don't like it, don't see them. It's not worth it.
Guys: Please don't be offended if we screen, we mean no harm. We are just trying to be safe.
Sorry to be such a downer in this Holiday Season, but I just found out and it needed to be said.
