Just wondered if this happens in LA also, there are a few girls that i know of that do it here in London.
They charge you 30% if they recommend a client your way and also 30% if you do a duo with them with a client of theirs.
Their attitude is that they're not doing f**k all for you if they're not getting something out of it.
Personally i think it's a little greedy and wouldn't be interested in working with another girl who did that.
I wouldn't dream of doing it, this industry is hard enough without making a profit from another girl's hard earned money.
That's just my personal opinion, what do you think?
I think that the TER whitelist, Datecheck and P411 pretty much does away with that practice. Maybe for super elite UTR ladies that one would never see without a referral? There are just too many gorgeous ladies here in L.A. that I don't see how much more improvement you could get by that either. Not even real life entertainment and sports agents charge 30%. Nope I just don't see that happening, at least in L.A.
is their business, but I'm not paying anything more than the published donation on the providers web site.

I care some, knowing they have a financial incentive to suggest one girl over another can have repercussions. My business has a long standing history of "commissions" in this manner, in some ways it's good in that it means the person receiving the commission wants to make sure your transaction goes through smoothly to insure they get their funds, the bad is that it means they auto decline any vendors that don't pay commissions regardless of quality. Sometimes there gets to be drama about how the new relationship was formed and whether (in this particular case) a commission would be due for doubles if you become a regular of the new girl, but occasionally wish to see both. Those kind of confrontations can be handled behind the scenes, but people being people means that sometimes they get handled in a less professional way.
I don't think I have an official preference it's a mixed bag
Well that's a completely different spin on it.
What if you found you were the one that was actually paying the 30% with you being charged extra for the other girl?
I was curious about this myself at some level, and the answer is some do, some don't. I have mixed feelings as to what's the better policy, not that my opinion as a client means a whole lot ![]()
Hi There
Its true and unfortunate it happens all over the world.

At least for the first visit, but I don't know the protocol either. Quite honestly, I never even thought about that but it is common practice in several other industries, like real estate.
Wow I work in Australia and I've never come across this practice!! I would never do a double with a girl who did this. I would never do it to another working girl either. I make my money and want to keep as much as I can and I expect other girls to do the same.
Why not just work for an agency if your going to be a greedy bitch?
I prefer to work with women who actually enjoy being truly bi-sexual & do not upsell.
The community was much smaller and cloistered prior to the internet. Clients were more 'innately' loyal to a provider simply for reasons of scarcity. Referring a client to another lady often increased his choices by 100%, and there were far fewer clients to go around.
Some providers were extraordinarily "greedy" and demanded a "cut" from the first TWO appointments subsequently enjoyed from their referral if they had the political juice to do so. The internet however put an end to most all of that
I for one do NOT accept or offer referencing to agencies (or as they call themselves "bookers")...
But maybe if I charged a fee per reference to those groups...
I am always happy to assist an independent lady but if I know she is on a agency/booker site I will not.
I just figure with an agency they have then screened that client for over a dozen ladies!
I don't see why an agency couldn't pay for screening when we all know they are charging the ladies sometimes hundreds a week just to be on their site. They can afford it considering they aren't doing any of the "real" work... Just sitting at a computer and by the phone booking and screening.
Some may disagree (the agency people I am guessing) but we all run our business our own way.
Maybe I'll suggest a screening fee to the next agency that contacts.
I know on P411 we get points or credit when we verify someone or if someone joins because of us.
Yes but over here you have to remember that what we do is legal, so doing the in depth referencing and verifying isn't needed.
A client calls or emails in advance, then once he's checked in he gives you his hotel and room number, all we do is call the hotel to check that he's actually there.
If a client calls me that i have never met and i'm not around and i tell him to call a friend of mine who is around, why on earth would i want to take 30% of her hard earned money.
And if i have met him then i know he's safe, what work have i done to still want to take 30%.
And there is no way in hell i'd do a duo with a girl with a client of hers and hand over 30%. I mean come on, you both have to travel to him (more than likely) or it's at her place, so she doesn't have to travel anywhere. You both work his arse and then at the end you give her a cut of your money, ewwww someone fetch me a bucket.
The other spin on it is that she could be over charging her client i.e the other girl's rate is £300 and she tells him its £500, so it's him that ends up paying the 30% without knowing it. No way am i getting involved in that or want to be anywhere around when that shit hits the fan.
So let's work this out, i decide to charge 30% to a girl friend of mine for seeing a client i may or may not have seen.
She's takes his call, follows through with checking him out. It takes her probably an hour to get ready before going over to his, then there's the cab fare which i'll estimate at £40. So depending on location travelling time could be, mmm, lets say 45 minutes both ways.
So from the £300 that she would normally get she's ended up with £170 and that's not including over 2 hours of her time getting ready and travel. And that's not including if she has kids and baby sitting expenses.
Unfortunately i don't speak another language, but if did it would probably be N* F*& K#NG W*Y ## H#LL would i do that to another girl :-
If one girl decides she needs to charge another girl to give a referral, that's between her and the other provider.
I pay what I pay, and whatever goes on behind is between them.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe in London, it's legal to work as a provider as long as you don't advertise in public (the internet is OK as I understand it). This would make referrals not only valuable, but a primary way of creating new business outside your own circle or regulars. In a legal environment where you can't advertise, paying a "finders fee"for referrals makes sense since the referral is taking the place of paid advertising, in a manner of speaking.
Unfortunately, in the US, where this activity is illegal everywhere except in certain counties in Nevada, taking money from other ladies as a referral fee would probably make you a pimp from a legal standpoint- a charge much worse than being a prostitute
