Verdict on LA Regional Discussion Board

Just to change pace from after some of the recent contentious  threads and transition into a reflective mode.

It has been just over 3 months since TER has  its regional boards by splitting them into separate discussion and Provider AD Boards .

It may be an appropriate time to assess if this separation has achieved its intended purpose and what unintended outcomes have come about as a result of the creation of separate board.

I as not qualified to discuss the Regional LA Ad  Board because my interest lies elsewhere. However, I do find the LA Discussion Board easier to follow because the absence of Ads allows threads to remain on page 1 and 2 far longer than they would have otherwise stayed had the Ads been there. The quality of the discussions varies but I wish we could have less of what seems to obligatory post regarding the K-girl screening process. Would love to see more topics discussed and more participants especially the ladies participate.

We seem to have a decent number of  Asian participants on the threads and reviewers  ,however, I wonder to what extent are African American and Hispanic guys are part of the community.

Unlike some other Regional Board the split does not seem to have had a negative effect on the LA Discussion board , but more participants and more diverse topics would be welcome.

What is your verdict ?

Yes, the ads board works out for hobbyist actually interested in seeing a lady.

Yes, there is more discussions on this board but it just seems to be focused on screening techniques for k-girls.   The k-girl topic is not the only reason why we dont have many ladies participating.  Historically this board has always had limited participation.  But we thank the  10 or so non korean ladies that do participate on this board now.

Im curious, where does your interest lie?

You think the split had a negative effect on this board? How So?

Hopefully more of us can consider the board provides a friendly and safe environment to be able to become more involved. With writing reviews there is a tangible reward for the guys. On the discussion board the reward is the exchange of opinions, information and sharing of experiences related to LA based hobby life.

The more friendly the board is perceived the more confidence folks will get to participate and the more diverse the discussion will become. The topics will be as good/diverse as what the participants wish to discuss.

I sigh every time i see the obligatory screening /access to K-girl  thread generated . My mood at the time determines my response or lack off. However , I recognize that the Korean and Asian community are an important segment of LA and they along with the K-girls are major stakeholders in TER family. It may be helpful to create a K-girl Self Help file for LA discussion board that would serve the interested and give a rest to the rest.

I do appreciate the ladies that participate and add value and perspective to the discussion ,I wish more would because they have much to contribute from their side of the court .They are important stakeholders their input is invaluable especially if the participants are ethically ,culturally and racially as diverse as our city.

While we do discuss Korean providers i do not recollect any of them speaking on their own behalf , given the language barrier I can understand that , perhaps they can use English speaking proxies to participate.

As someone who called for a split I hope that the LA Providers Ad Board made it easier to search providers and at the same time hopefully generated greater business than the equivalent period last year.

I want for both site to be vibrant and first stop for those seeking informative discussion or serious trusted providers in Los Angeles.

I agree totally love the new regional discussion boards with separate add sections. And I think you might be right about the TER participant demographics in my experience the last year I would say 60 % of my clients are caucasian, 20% asian and 10%  hispanic & 10% mixed(hawaiian, indian, middle eastern ect..) however I have never had an african american client and this is not because I havent wanted to its just been because no african americans have ever tried to book an appointment with me.LOL maybe its  my looks but after reading your comment "I wonder to what extent are African American and Hispanic guys are part of the community" It totally got me thinking about how there really is a lack of men of color in the Hobby,Even when attending meet and greets I still haven't seen to many african Americans' find this kind of odd but anyway interesting post Harpman60 and I too would totally love it if more people participated on the boards

Lily thanks for sharing your numbers. Hispanics make up over 40% of LA County African American 12% of the population so one would think would be more visible in the hobby community. It would make a nice research study.

Maybe they frequent other sites than TER , the ones I'm sure we all know about with forums with little moderation.

Did someone call for a Hispanic? No, I don't do lawns or paint fences.

the black and Hispanic guys have more game than us nerdy white guys, so they can get laid without turning to the P4P market as often!

at first i didn't like it, because i love to peruse the ads and see what the ladies are up to.  but now i just take two different approaches:  first i satisfy myself that the new ads are up to standard, then i come over here to participate in discussions.

tho sometimes i have to satisfy myself a few times before coming over here.  =)

Los Angeles is the a remarkable place for the selection and diversity of Asian Beauties.  My preference is athletic, petite Women and who better fits that profile than Asian Women?  I do mix it up with Latina's, Caucasian, African American...etc.  Really, I just adore Women but prefer them to be petite in the thin to athletic range....
