Everyone in the hobby should consider getting a round of Gardasil vaccinations. They're expensive, but compared to even one session, or worse yet a case of HPV, it's cheap insurance.

The main reason the vaccine isn't officially recommended for those over 26 is they automatically assume people have been exposed to HPV by then, but no one really knows the likelihood that you've been exposed to the 9 strains that are in the newer version of the vaccine (the vaccine obviously can't prevent something that you've already been exposed to). In women aged 27-45, the vaccine was shown to help prevent warts but not cancer (again, maybe because they were already exposed, but also maybe the cancers would have developed after the study concluded).
Planned Parenthood or a regular doctor can also get the vaccine for you. PP probably won't blink an eye at the request although your regular doc might.
I got that vaccination in high school and it was extremely painful! They give you a round of 3 shots and the third made me vomit. I guess it is good to know I'm safe.
