There is an Asian provider I saw once in the past who consistently gets high marks. I have tried to schedule more time with her, but no dice.  Her screener says she is not there, or she no longer works there or she is on vacation, or some other BS.  I continue to see reviews of her updated almost weekly. (I am assuming caller ID has been used to identify me,)I wonder if the color of my skin is an issue.

Let me say that I have always treated providers all over the world with the utmost respect. I am clean, well-groomed, educated and friendly. I have noticed that a few Asian providers have asked that you identify your race when you call them (ostensibly to be able to know who you are when you ring the doorbell - yeah right).

Another Latina provider has in her FAQ section on her website "Do you date black men?" Her answer, fortunately, is "Color does not matter".

Obviously, I am not condemning ALL Asian providers, having just visited one last week. It would be interesting to get your firsthand take on the issue of race and our hobby.

This issue comes up at least once a year on this board.  As a man of color I've had to deal with a variety of attitudes across this great nation of ours and I think a thick skin is the best defense in case of rejection based on ethnicity.  I've been turned down in the South but also in the Northeast and even in this wonderful City of Angels.  But I look at it this way, every woman, whether in the hobby or out, has the absolute, unqualified and unquestionable right to decide who she wants to see and for what reason.  When it comes to the irrefutably personal choice of who to participate with in this most intimate encounter each of us has the right to employ any criteria we choose, no matter how strange, old-fashioned or even backward they might seem to someone else.  The fact that there is commerce involved does not change the basic fact that aside from perhaps having a baby (or not) there is almost no more personal choice a person will make than to whom they will offer their favors.  Egalitarianism just doesn't have a place in that world.  There is no "fair" or "unfair" when it comes to whom you will let share your bed.  Unlike deciding who to hire for the local fire department, who to give a home loan to or to whom we should grant a public education, I reserve the right to use the most peculiar, narrow-minded and obtuse parameters for my choice of bedmate.  And unless I want to defy Kant, I cannot make a rule for others that would not apply to me.  So that's a long way of saying, there are hundreds of wonderful providers out there who will be glad to see you regardless of your ethnicity.  Move on to one of those and have a great hobbying day.

There is a provider Melanie Banks (I think), who always posts "WHERE ARE ALL THE BLACK MEN"??....She REALLY, REALLY likes AA men!.

that a woman growing up in Asia will have a skewed perspective of American people based on what she has seen on television?  I have no idea what shows are broadcast in Korea, but I'll bet there are some U.S. crime shows that get aired.

And we all know how much tv likes to perpetuate stereotypes.

but even if there was no identifiable or articulable reason, same net result:  Head off to see Mya, Shayla, Natalie or any of the other dozens of ladies who have been kind enough to share some of their time with me.  And never look back.

for asians skin color does matter.  most asian girls, especially those that grew up overseas will not be caught dead with a black person.  i have seen many of asian girls and from what they confide to me is they do not like they way you guys looks or smell.  its bad enough they have to provide services overseas with men of other nationalities and backgrounds, they really want to avoid contact with black men.  i suggest you see other providers ckster because you won't have any luck.  it has nothing to do with your education, grooming, or demeanor, its your color and these asian girls don't want it touching them

In the last year and half I've seen at least 10 providers from Korea and one or two from Japan and China each--some of them multiple times.  In not one of those sessions did I detect any hesitation or discomofort.  And after the first time the booker certainly knew my ethnicity and never missed a beat in setting up the next appointment.  Perhaps you meant to suggest Thai, Viet, Filipino, Chinese or a similar particular ethnicity.

Also, you may be thinking about dating versus hobbying.  I don't expect any of these girls to bring me home to meet the family.

the question one needs to ask is ... "is it worth it?"

Most girls who have not experienced all this do not know better. Maybe if you reassured her that you will not break her in half haha you'll have better luck.

You know it is.  I've seen so many ads with girls who subtley screen out black guys or if not that overt, good luck trying to get an appointment... One ad, I saw said I prefer men that are...then it proceeds to list almost every race, except for balck...just read between the lines.  this topic is going to bring out a lot of p.c. comments.... but, in reality, this is something that I'm sure a lot of black hobbyist have faced.  I wish some people would come right out and tell it like it really is.

It all comes down to different srokes for different folks.
Some girls are really into black guys and some girls are completely not.
As an asian guy myself I experience the exact same thing. There are some girls who really like to see me and there are some girls who look at me like I am pond scum--just by my looks.

We all have likes and dislikes when it comes to being physically comfortable with another human being. I am well traveled and find beauty in all skin colors.

I believe that I could have played the part of Captain Kirk in Star Trek. Being on the green, and purple hot female aliens!!!!!!

It's a matter of ignorance, or misconceptions.  I saw a Korean provider a few weeks ago, brand new to LA.  She asked me if it was safe to walk out at night.  In Santa Monica!.  I said, sure, there a tons of people out at night.  Then she asked me if everyone owned guns in LA!  She assumed that everyone has a gun.  I told her, I don't own a gun.  Most of my friends don't.  And my friends that own guns are either LE (yup I have LE friends!) or people who go to the shooting range and have them for their personal protection.  I get a feeling that she only knows Los Angeles from Hollywood Movies.  So I think a lot of the Asian providers (from Asia) may think most AAs are in gangs, or rappers with a crew that is "strapped".

Although there have been studies to show the contrary, the common sentiment is that Black men are huge. Followed by Latino, White and last being Asian. Likewise, in terms of female capacity, people seem to think Asian girls are tighter than other counterparts.

People are completely misinformed. The pigmentation of one's epidermis has no relation to the size of their cock. But, the stereotype is still prevalent.

Or, who knows, maybe you are huge and left these girls limping. :-P

Regardless of etnicity, color or race, yeah you are right. It's more like any provider would see me and I would see her. But when it came to civies, yeah I was pond scum to all of them= just by my looks. By now it does't matter. Send in any girl of any color...

But when it comes to size, as in fat or not. That's different story. That's a topic for the next post.

What this got to do with the original post? Nothing.
But if I was of African decent I would go and see the providers that would want and agree to see me the same way I would go see the ones I agree to see.

on the phone whether I was "large" after I told her I was AA and I assured her I was built like the average American male down there.  She was concerned about a circus freak showing up and asking to do greek. We had a laugh about it and the session turned out to be lots of fun--greek included.  Turns out not taking all this too seriously and being able to laugh at yourself helps.

And I've told providers who turned me away that they could have saved us both a lot of time and energy by just saying simply on their sites that they prefer to see whatever type of men they prefer to see.  Again, I take no offense at a woman deciding what's right for her.  But I do dislike driving through 2 hours of LA traffic only to be told "sorry".  The good news is that with some careful screening of my own I haven't had this happen in at least 8 years.

Me, as a man of color also, I think this is the BEST response I have heard.

Some girls don't like old guys, there was one that posted on her site that she didn't like "grandfather types". That great with me, I appreciate it when they let me know up front so I don't find out the hard way after I have dragged my sorry old ass to the appointment.
