Came upon a girl and turned to the boards for some info. The post was removed, under the explanation that the provider was banned. I can understand banning her from being a member or posting... But I'm clueless as to why she can't even be discussed?  Seems to me this is exactly what our ter is for?

Seems to me that ANY censorship of OUR discussion about THEM seems completely against the point of this site. Seems to me it should be up to us to separate wheat from chaff (for the most part).

It's like if this was YELP, and someone wrote, "I ate at XYZ restaurant and it was crappy" and then a moderator pulled that discussion because the restaurant owner asked him to?!

Provider delisted because of fake reviews?

How sausage is made.

And with all due respect, it does seem an odd rule -- like many rules on TER, it makes little sense except, perhaps, from the perspective of the owners of TER.  And, yes, it may suffice logically to say, "them's the rules, take 'em or leave 'em," it does not sit well psychologically with many members.  It might be a good idea for TER to explain some of these rules -- then the guys may understand better and stop questioning.  Just a thought, Oh Guru of the Board....  RT Over & Out

I believe in this case this provider was delisted by ter, not HER choice.

and that's the entire problem. you "believe" that to be the case. That's not sufficiently accurate to make plans, one way or the other.

so too can lesser entities.
