i like a mix of both, with the emphasis on professional.

be assured, professional photography does not necessarily mean big $$$.  i'm sorry i can't remember the names but there was a recent thread on this very subject where people mentioned 2 photogs here in la that only charged a few hundred for a session (the  price mentioned seemed to me to be equal to an average of an hours worth of seeing a lady on this site).

i also like the occasional candid iphone shot for reasons mentioned above, it lets me know how you really look now, (tho, madame patricia, i know personally you are a total babe!) and it lets your personality come thru.

however i have to say that professional shots tells me that you are serious about this as a business.  if you can't take time and money to present yourself well on your ad or website, i am not at ease about how you will present yourself to me in person.  in other words, if you can't be serious and focused about your opening introduction (your pix) i don't know how you will be about your interaction with me during our time.

i'm sure other providers have good photographer references!

I have noticed some prefer actual real photos VS PRO pictures.  Fellas please share your opinions because I LOVE taken pictures.  PRO photos seem, like a must in this industry, but can be misleading after all the photo shop & they cost lots of $.  Do you think camera phone pics, or just candid pics are god enough to get you to book?

Any & all opinions are welcome.  Sharing is caring TER friends.

I agree with you that having a quality set of Professional Pic is a must for the industry and it is something that I look for when I am choosing a new companion. When her website is full of iPhonography I am less inclined to look at her. Having some good pro shots help.

On the other hand I like it when you post some more candid shots here on TER or if you have a gallery of candid shots on your website that shows me your spontanious side. I like to know your personality and candid pics help with that.

So I am taking the easy way out here by saying you need to have both.
Sorry for not being overly helpful. ;-)

I don't think the choice has to be between high-priced professional photographers and awful iPhone-in-the-mirror shots (most of those really are terrible). There's a middle ground. I've taken good quality photos of a couple of provider friends with a very good camera, not on a quid pro quo basis, but just because I enjoy taking photos and they wanted some new shots. I get to practice my hobby (with beautiful subjects) and they save a few dollars. And if they don't like the shots, all they've lost is a little time.

So if you have a hobbyest friend who's an amateur photographer, maybe he'll want to take some pictures for you. If he's a decent guy, he won't demand anything in return. I don't.

will get. I've been disappointed several times by women who don't look as good in reality as they do in photos--in fact, I automatically lower my expectations when I see a good set of photos, figuring that the reality will be less. However, as in every profession, putting on your best "face" is essential. I like websites that have a mix of photos. If the photo is taken by a non-professional, at least let it be taken with a decent camera, not cell phones--they tend to make the lady look worse, especially if the light is lousy.

I like to see a nice Website, with some beautiful professional shots, and some self-made and/or obviously amateur, unaltered shots. I want to be confident that I'm going to be happy with what I see when we meet, so the less professional photos help with that.  That being said, I like to see that an effort has been made to present yourself in the best possible way with a good Website, classy ads, etc. Having a unique approach and something interesting to say also goes a long way.

A good amateur photo goes a long way with me. It makes the provider seem more approachable and real.

.....have both.

pro shots show you can go to film screenings/charity balls

Amateur shots show your down to earth & warm :)

all  my  pictures  are  all  non  pro ,but  I  am  thinking  of  some  news  ones  dont  know which  way  to  go ---

I  dont  know wht  all  the  boys  like  pro  or  non pro

I prefer professional, but some camera phone shots look decent enough to put on website.  I think most guys like to see natural beauty... flaws and all.

speaking of pics, I need better qualities.  I think my pics suck.  I will take a few with my camera phone tonight.  If I like them, I will post them...

Sophia your non pro pics are beautiful ;-)
