Trim? Shaved? Jungle wild?

I grew up in the 70's, when everything ran wild, including pubes.  Seriously, for some of you younger cats, check out some vintage Playboys to see why they used to call the magic spot "bush".  These days, the de rigeur mode for the ladies is shaved or pretty close to it, but what about the guys?  I remember when I saw my first provider, downstairs I looked like I just emerged from the set of Lost.  I've since trimmed things up a bit since then.  Ladies, do you have a preference?  Do you like your gents looking like modern day porn stars, shaved down to the nubs?  Prefer a little something extra to remind you it's a man?  Dig a 'fro down south?  Fellas, how do you usually roll?

not fully shaved. On a guy, fully shaved is ... disturbing.

If there is an odor that means there is a bacteria, she should go wash!  I am VERY particular about the pussies I make out with, odor is such a turn off.  I always do a "wave" over or finger test before burrowing my face in a unknown territory.

Hair or No hair, odor is a warning sign to a female that she needs to take care of something.

(and some women) find the smell of pussy to be a huge turn-on. I'd be disappointed if a woman I was playing with had lacked a natural healthy odor. Moreover, I'm saddened to hear that some men still think hair is dirty. Evolutionarily, it's a protective barrier and meant to protect vaginas from bad things getting in... not the other way around. Bad odor isn't caused by hair- like Eyva pointed out; it's usually a sign of something else. I like a neatly trimmed bush and enjoy the same on a man. Totally shaved (especially on a woman) weirds me out a bit, although shaved balls on a guy are much appreciated. :P

Some women have a natural odor.  Some are a little more musky; some are a little more fishy.  Hair exacerbates that.  Some women have no odor.

Now...a woman can and SHOULD wash up before an appointment, but that still doesn't preclude there being some natural odor that she has.

Odor doesn't necessarily mean there is an issue.  But hair makes all odor issues worse.

I think if you were to ask any OB-GYN, they would tell you that every woman is likely to have a different propensity to have an odor down there, ranging from no odor to very strong.

Probably has a lot to do with diet and body chemistry.

Here's an excerpt from this website:

http://www.blogher.com/how-are-vaginas-supposed-smell

"What Should You Smell Like?

So how is the vagina supposed to smell? It depends. When you're straight out of the shower, your coochie may have no smell at all. When you've just finished running a marathon, it may have a strong musky odor from all the sweat glands. When you're menstruating or giving birth, the flinty-iron smell of blood prevails. When yeast overgrows in the vagina, you may smell like freshly baked-bread or a good malt beer. Right after you've had intercourse, you may smell faintly bleach-like, as semen has a classic odor of its own. And when certain normal bacteria overgrow, they release amines that smell -- yup, you guessed it -- like fish.

Every vagina has its own special smell -- a combination of the normal bacteria that live in your vagina, what you eat, how you dress, your level of hygiene, your bowel habits, how much you sweat, and what your glands secrete. Remember that the glands near the vagina also secrete pheromones, meant to attract a sexual partner. So you don't want to deodorize your va-jay-jay so much that it smells like rain. Doing so thwarts the primal function of what your smell is supposed to accomplish. Plus, it interferes with the vagina's natural pH balance and can lead to a whole host of gynecological conditions.

So own your odor, girlfriends. Sure, if you're worried, see a gynecologist to make sure your vagina is healthy and normal. But as long as everything's kosher down there, accept that."

Eyva, I soooo agree with you! Nothing like a soft, bald, sweet smelling Pussy to bury your face into...
