Thanks; essentially looking for a place that reliably has rooms available  where I can get in around 11am and stay for a few hours  and which is clean and comfortable.

It's a little ways south of el segundo, but I have used this place for a few encounters with a lady.  Nice rooms, low key.  Cheap too.

Ramada Inn, 435 s. pch, Redonda beach, ca
