Ya got me thinking now (Sugarbabies vs. Detachment)

I hope I don't regret asking this but the previous Provider vs. Sugarbaby post really got my gears going on one issue.  It is an issue that I did not believe in at one time.  The issue is how some providers basically become another person when they provide.  You remember that movie Pretty Woman?  It kind of touched on this.  Basically they are using kind of a detachment defense and playing a role.  Then if you start getting to know them a bit too well and they start to like you they have trouble making that transition.  Like I said, at one time I never believed in that.  But I did meet a provider who worked that way and sure enough, once she got to know me and like me some, she had trouble being a provider.  I mean she was still there and "provided" but I kid you not, it was like being with a different woman than before.  When this first hit and she could not make the transition it was more like an awkward date type of sex experience.

After that I mentioned it to another hobbyist I know and he confirmed the phenomenon and had seen it happen himself.  So I guess providers who also do the sugarbaby end of it have a different psychological approach to things.  But I would be interested in hearing opinions on this.

Yeah, I didn't think there would be many takers on this threat except for a bit of PM.  Understandable.
