better coffee and one quarter the price !

Urth Caffee has the best coffee and has great baked goods and decent menu.  

Pete's among the 3 chains mentioned.  My donut shop around the corner that opens at 4:30. Best black coffee in the South Bay at half the price of the chains that are gouging us all because we think it's cool to go to a coffee café.  DUMB!!

...Italian coffee machine.  I don't have to get dressed and go out.  I go back to bed to finish the overnight with the provider I paid for with all the money I saved by NOT going to Starbucks.

Coffee been is way too sweat.  If I want desert I will go do an ice cream place or a cake place.  

I'm with you on this one BP. For me, I'll pass on the store bought super exotic creations with an extra shot of who knows what, etc. etc.. I don't have a coffee machine, but I have a coffee grinder where I grind up the beans and then use a coffee press. I then add a dollop of real cream (not half & half, nor God forbid non-fat milk) and I settle back enjoying the aroma and taste of what a rich cup of coffee is all about.  Ciao!

Peet's Coffee is having a Promotion tomorrow a small drip for $0.50 cents. Even those who despise and avoid coffee shops you can certainly spring for this? LOL.

Just a friendly contrary opinion, I've tried the coffee press and didn't really like it.  The press resulted in way too much of the grinds left in the coffee.  I prefer my own Cimballi or a simple stove top espresso maker found in Italian specialty markets.  Just another opinion.

Sounds good to me!  For $.50, yeah, I'll be there!

siphon brewed coffees are really amazing. It's a small place and the choice is fairly limited.

I'm sure it's a great brew there. I guess I'll have follow the guy that walks like "Melvin Udall" to find this place. lol

because they don't have locations on every other block.  Another Starbucks is opening in Santa Monica!  The 21st location in a city that's 8.46 square miles.  

Reminds me of an episode of the Simpsons when Bart and Lisa are walking through a mall and there sign saying A New Starbucks Opening on every other store front.

I'm currently in Westwood. Coffee Bean is everywhere. EVERYWHERE.

Try Peets Coffee today small cup of joe is only $0.50 cents. Westwood Blvd. and Lindbrook.

I like them both but I will always stop by a Joan's when I'm in the area. Quality over Quantity.

Then again, I got turned on to a Vietnamese coffee press in the late 80's.

Death Wish coffee.

Friendly service and fresher coffee at The Coffee Bean. Their Ice Blended drinks are far superior to the Frapachinos.  

It can only be Nespresso nothing on earth beats that, I've just come in from London and I'm already missing my Nespresso machine
