Google talk is a great way to have a second phone with full text and calling on your existing smart phone all for free!!  just set up a different Google account different from your personal one

getting caught with a 2nd phone can be just as bad, if u don't have a cover story make sure u set the phone to silent mode, make sure vibrate is off and tuck it away in your secret hiding spot.
