Why does a new provider think that one review from
an unknown hobbyist with no other reviews will have
any meaning? I've seen it so many times.
New reviewer giving a 10/10 or a 9/10 to someone
brand new on the scene and that's his only review.
All it does is make us more skeptical.

.

through incentives, threats and blackmail are a common practice. I was told there are professional reviewers who charge $10-$15 per review.

Fake reviews are not limited to local independents and agencies but also K-dolls. Many of the top K-dolls who have genuine high score get fake reviews by frauds  after free VIP days. Frauds post reviews without seeing the K-doll,  because K-dolls rarely challenge reviews, especially if they are positive, (without checking I can only  recall reviews of SeeLA, Pia and Lohan deleted recently).

Intimidation plays a factor. I was so taken by surprise of  a recent negative review of a highly  reviewed top  provider. She was given a 7 for looks and the comments were so demeaning, condescending and mean spirited that I saved the review. Although the reviewers said he would never see her again.  To my surprise about a week or so  later he posts a new most complimentary review with 9/9. In the process his previous review was deleted.

How can you take someone like that seriously. I pmed him but understandably he did not respond.

Muff you are spot on and the scoring system that can be manipulated to hype one career and destroy another needs revaluation and possible elimination

Its all about the quick money and no longer about establishing oneself and making a name for yourself.

I think as long as there are men who genuinely believe they are getting a published model for $150 on BP, there are going to be those who buy into fake reviews here and drive business to those providers.

I've had to deal with both good and bad fake reviews in the past. It is really frustrating, but I have no idea how TER can do a better job at dealing with them. Those of you who think the system should be changed: why don't you make a suggestion how? I just know that I'll always take TER with all its problems over having no reviews at all.

Thus the  need for waiting for 5 or 6 reviews and by respected hobbyists
and sending a PM to one or two of those hobbyists you trust.
That always does the trick.
I've gotten PM's from other hobbyists about some of
my sterling reviews and after taking my advice I've gotten
follow up PM's thanking me. I was even told that  I've
understated the case in some instances. We have to screen
as well as the girls do.

The man is RIGHT ON!  As to reviews, well, ULESS you know the reviewer, is like asking a total stranger to recommend a restaurant: one Mann's Denny is another man's Le Bernardin!

I don't get skeptical.  I totally disregard it.

Is there a list of known purchased reviewers names to warn us?

Inaccurate negative reviews can devastate a low volume providers business. It's terribly unfair.  Some Hobbyists forget these women are trying survive a bad economy like everybody else.  Their income is more fragile than most of ours.   It's one thing to warn fellow Hobbyists away from a bad transaction, it's something else to maliciously "invent" a bad session because there was "no connection" or a Provider was having a bad day.
