About 10 days ago I made an appointment with one of the top rated providers in LA through P411. I had never seen her before. We had an e-mail exchange on a Thursday and agreed to have a two hour appointment the following Tuesday (5 days later). She gave me her incall address, so I made a hotel reservation in downtown LA not too far away. (I was visiting from out of town on business.) If it weren't for the appointment, I would have booked a hotel in a cheaper area, but I didn't want to worry about driving through lots of traffic to get to the provider's incall.

On the following Monday afternoon, the day before our appointment, I sent her an e-mail to touch base and confirm. She replied, "Looking forward to seeing you tomorrow!" At that point, I figured we were confirmed, and no further communication was necessary until I arrived at her incall, as we had discussed. Does that seem reasonable?

About 45 minutes before our appointment the following evening, I happened to check my hobby e-mail account. I had received an e-mail from the provider 15 minutes before which stated:

"Hi there,
I'm assuming we aren't meeting since I didn't hear back last night."

I immediately e-mailed back and wrote that yes, I thought we were confirmed for that evening, and I had no reason to think she required further confirmation. I didn't hear back from her after sending two e-mails, so I didn't go to her incall, and I haven't heard from her since.

I think that's totally unprofessional and not acceptable, especially given her (supposed) top reputation and premium rate. I'm completely understanding if she didn't feel up to having a client that evening or otherwise (for some unknown reason) had a bad feeling about meeting me. In that case, I would just expect an apology with her cancellation, rather than a flippant e-mail which implies it was my fault. Thankfully, I was able to get a last minute appointment with another great provider.

It's my understanding I can't give her a negative review since we didn't meet, correct? Would it be appropriate to indicate who she is to warn other potential clients

What happened to you was a complete disregard for your time. No apology or response to follow up emails either? Wow, talk about feeling devalued. I agree, from your perspective totally unacceptable. As disappointing as that day started you ended up meeting someone new and having a great time anyways.  That's awesome! Goal accomplished!  

I feel if you take a second to really ask yourself if this is a person you'll be thinking about a week from now, the answer will probably be no. Seriously.

and thought about "outing" her too on the Vegas board, but decided against it. I believe strongly in karma, and payback's a bitch that will eventually catch up with providers like this. I firmly believe that some poviders either double book or land a bigger fish and kick us to the curb should it suit them. Nature of the greedy beast in some.

Everything seems to "happen for a reason or work out for the best" and it has happened to all of us. If you met someone else and had a great time "it was meant to be." Enough clichés but all true and sometimes there is a strong explanation for a no show. I agree with J90210 & lopaw .

you didn't lose out on any money. Just time and patience.

out her so the rest of us don't get treated like crap from her. She probably double booked or had a higher offer come in so she dropped you. This is what TER is for, to help other hobbyist from getting burned.

Well, I did book a hotel room in downtown (& expensive) LA only because I had an appointment with that particular provider. Parking was expensive too. So yes, it did cost me.

The provider who I did see is awesome, maybe my ATF (I've seen her before, not new to me) and in that sense it did work out. However I was still hoping to meet someone new that evening.

You could identify the person via PM, but only to trusted and well established members, and not to those with a known affiliation with the lady.  That disclosure could get back to the person and put you on her $hit list.  
"Hell hath no fury.....".  You know the rest..

Bummer.

Any hobbyists who are crying for you to out her are those who are looking for a free option.  They certainly have paid nothing to obtain the information, while you are at risk of getting blacklisted or perhaps otherwise outed by her.

Of course the hobbyists with nothing to lose are gonna say out her.  They have nothing on the hook and no skin in the game.  Most of them wouldn't even see her anyway, so why give out information for free?

LA isn't your base, so what do you care, out her. Maybe it'll lighten her up and maybe she won't screw around next time. But dam you had 10 days to sleep over this and you're just "thinking" about it?...

I've had a similar experience with someone I had seen on more than one occasion.  We communicated afterwards, and she apologized.  Next session with her was great.

Some gals  have odd situations, odd days, and sometimes they just wig out.  Not all, but some.  The one I saw was top rated, and when she was together she was tops.  It was worth the effort to forgive and have another opportunity.

This isn't just buying a car, these ladies deserve our respect, and sometimes we have to go with the flow.  I agree with the person who suggested the PM communication instead.

You need to SPEAK to the person.  Emails are just not a solid method of interpersonal communication.  An email is a good way to provide a cell number or to arrange a time to speak by phone.  But email ONLY?  That is where you made assumptions (where as a brief telephone conversation would have put both of you on the same wavelength).
  Just take this one as a learning experience.    She even tells you "I didn't hear..."
Women hear with their EARS.  You needed to talk with her.

It's really hard to come up with a reason this was a honest mistake on her part except maybe the was totally wasted on something when she responded to your e-mail....leaving it marked READ, then forgetting about it the next day and thinking it's old mail the next morning because it was marked already read.  

Look at it from the provider's view point, would she willingly give up on a two hour booking without a really good reason?  I would think if something did come up, she would be interested in the possibility of rescheduling and notified you.  Since this did not happen, that's a reason it might have been an honest screw up on her part.  Regardless, you should be given an explanation.  You took on the time and expense to try and make it work.  

This does bring up one point.  I totally agree the way you did it was reasonable.  However, I have learned it can sometimes save yourself wasted time if you also reconfirm the day/morning of, preferably through a different method like text if e-mail was used before.  In fact, sometimes I also text again just before I start driving there.
