Dinner Dates

I personally would not choose a dinner date for a first time experience with someone.  After a couple of flings and I knew that someone and I enjoyed each other's company then I might consider that.  I am not sure what the average age of men who enjoy being a hobbyist, but I am 56 years of age.  If I go out to eat a steak dinner and then engage in sex and try to get a couple of orgasms, I see this as a potentially dangerous form of fun in terms of cardiovascular risk.  The last time I met someone I realized how much work sex is on the heart.  I still remember when I was young there was a physician at this hospital who was in his fifties, and he went out with some nurses one night and he died from a heart attack.  Maybe we should take a dose of aspirin before sex.

But according to researchers one of the most likely category to have a heart attack are "married men having affairs, often with younger women in unfamiliar settings. Those circumstances can add to stress that may increase the risks, evidence from a handful of studies suggests." Interesting (and scary) to know.

When I first started to hobby, I went on a number of dinner dates.  At that time, I liked the idea of playing out the fantasy and building the anticipation.

A few years have passed, and now I like to skip right the dessert ;-)

But if I'm hosting, I'll often provide light snacks in case all that exercise gives us the hungries.

I don't see how eating a meal before sex has anything to do with the risk of a heart attack.  It's not like that steak you eat will clog up your arteries the same night that you eat it.

You probably don't go swimming for at least a half hour after you eat, either.  Sounds like an old wive's tale.

If you're worried about your heart, you should be checking with your doctor.  You should be exercising moderately.  Aspirin regimen, blood pressure check and medicine if your BP is high.  I have existing conditions, on BP medication, cholesterol meds, but a lot of that is hereditary.  The same doc I see for all that also provides a scrip for Viagra. So I figure he is OK with me having sex, and a steak dinner before a fuck isn't gonna do any more damage than chewing a stick of gum.  The only danger that could happen if your'e overly full is you could barf while having sex from the activity.  If I had a hot blonde riding my pogo stick like a piston,  and I ate too much at dinner, I'd probably ralph.

Eating a big steak dinner actually has a number of immediate effects on the heart for guys that are going to have sex.

First , if you take Viagra, it significantly delays absorption. So you may not be up for the encounter within an hour (not really a heart effect).

Second, a big meal increases blood flow to your gut to absorb the food. This can increase the work of the heart (to supply more blood) and can decrease the amount of blood going to your heart arteries if you already have a clogged artery. Together this makes it more likely you'll get chest pain. Google "angina and big meal" and you'll see more.

Third, a fatty meal may block or reduce the ability of the hearts arteries to dilate or open up, in response to the bodies needs. This is a little more controversial but see for example: Arterioscler Thromb Vasc Biol. 2000;20:2039-2044.
