I know most of us hobbyists practice safe methods when going about our business but once again I saw a couple of people in front of a well known hangout.

To me it is always very jarring at how obvious people can become when they become too comfortable in certain situations.

Just another warning to those newbies out there. Don't be too obvious. Move with a purpose (we know what that is). DON'T have your phone out at the gate! And in one experience, I ran into a guy walking the halls with phone in hand looking for room numbers.

You are right on about this subject, it has been brought up before and it seems some do not learn. I haved seen the phone and roaming the hall ways and it always amazes me. I would say please be a little more discreet it is the best way to hobby.

I understand that a majority of those guys are not on TER but for those newbies newly minted and stamped, they may find it useful.

Hell, my first time out in Playa on my first Kgirl meeting, I roamed that hallway with phone in hand talking to the booker asking if the girl was ready. Totally oblivious and totally obvious.

Film them and let them see themselves on candid camera. These aren't necessarily newbies. I remember when I was starting i was too nervous and paranoid to hang out . It is often veterans who get too comfortable and complacent.

Exactly! I mean, come on, how many times do we see idiots wandering around the mall looking at their cell phone, texting, not paying attention to anything else. That's the world we live in now. No one except a horny k-customer like you, Beemer, would put those two together!  

I know it looks very obvious to us, but I am 100% certain it does not look that way to anyone outside the hobby. To those folks, it looks just like everyday life.

True but if it happens so many times in so many days.. People will get suspicious. The cops aren't dumb either. This particular building is on a main street that I see a lot of black and whites travel down on.

If I lived in those apts by the gate and saw all these different guys coming in or hanging out daily, my alerts would go off.

I am just saying, don't leave your security and safety up to the other guy. Be proactive and avoid the obvious.

I would consider them to be part of the hobby. At leas the Vice squad. I think you are right that they would be able to put two-and-two together, assuming they even bothered to look. (My theory on that is, they don't give a shit about what we are doing. If they did, they could shut it all down pretty easily. But that's beside the point.)

Regular folks, non-hobbyists, will never have a clue. To them, we look like every other schmuck walking around the complex. But, of course, it is always a good idea to be discreet. Stay in your car until the text comes. Memorize the access code. Keep your phone in your pocket on approach. All common sense stuff, but I don't think anyone is going to have a problem if they forget to follow the protocol.

The only time you have a problem is if you are stupid enough to start arguing with the lady over price or anything else. A Secret Service dude told me that!
